FC Assessment 2 (Final)
INSTRUCTIONS ON UPLOADING YOUR ANSWERS AS DIGITAL FILE IN
TISSOL

1. Foundation courses (FC1 and FC2) will be evaluated as two separate courses. All of
you are by now aware to upload the answers of FC1 and FC 2 separately in their
respective spaces under Assessment 2 (final). For each FC evaluation, two Questions
need to be answered from all the questions given per course.

2. You must exercise the choice of questions as per the instruction given in the
respective Q paper. Once you complete your answers, you need to submit your
answers/write-up to the corresponding portal given for the specific questions. All your
answers/write-up for FC 1 Assessment 2 (Final) must be uploaded in the assessment
link for FC 1 only and similarly for FC 2. For eg. if you have attempted Q.1 of FC 1,
you have to upload your answers under the link for Q.1 of FC 1 only and your
submission will not be reaching the right faculty if you are uploading your questions
under the wrong question link.

3. Depending on the questions you are attempting, it is important to upload your answers
as independent doc or pdf files against each of the question link given in TISSOL.

4. Please note that your enrolment number and question number should be the file name
for each of the file. For eg. If your enrolment number is M2022HE003 and you have
attempted Q.3, the file name has to be M2022HE03 Q3. Additionally, In the front
page of your answer sheet you should indicate your enrolment number and the
question number without fail.

5. Students are advised to write the essays in an introspective and reflective manner.
Plagiarism in any form is not acceptable.

6. In case of any technical difficulties while submission, you can contact the computer
Centre in TISS at this email id: [email protected], and copy it to
([email protected], [email protected] and your respective program secretariat
staff). (For any other queries, please contact your respective programme secretariat.

7. The last date of submission of Final Assessment FC 2022 will be 10th October 2022.

8. Please note that while you will be able to see your questions in advance, the link to
submit your assignment will be active only for 3 days from 8-10 October 2022 and
not before that. Kindly don’t write any email for extension of the date of submission.

The questions for the Final Assessment are given in the next page.

FC 1 IDEAS OF INDIA 2022


ASSESSMENT - I Weightage: 55%

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
1. Please note that there are TWO Sections in this FC-1 interim assessment. Answer any
ONE question from each of the two sections. In total, you have to answer TWO
questions.
2. All questions have equal weightage.
3. Please note that there may be internal choices for each question.
4. For each question, students are required to write the answer in the form of an essay
that would be a maximum of approximately 500-750 words in length.

SECTION A
Q.1 How would you mark some differences between women in a movement,
women’s movements, and feminist movements? Do refer to class discussions to
explain this.

OR

Q.2. The 'Scheduled Tribe' as a Constitutional category of people foregrounds diversity of


Indian social reality and governance. Discuss

SECTION B
Q.3. Discuss the relationship between Religion and the formation of modern India.

OR

Q.4 What do you understand by social movement? Critically examine the role of the Social
Movement in bringing about change in society.

ASSESSMENT - I Weightage: 50%

INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

Q.1 What are the ways in which social inequalities get reproduced in the Indian education system?
Substantiate your answer with examples.

Q.2 Tracing the evolution of the health care system in India, explain the reason for
inequalities in access to health care in India?

Q.3 Mental health and ill health are on a continuum. Discuss this statement based on your
understanding of mental health and illness. What can you do to maintain mental health/ well-
being?

Q.4 Discuss the components of demographic change.
OR
Q.5 Explain the varieties of environmentalism in India

OR

Q.6 While the Digital Divide has narrowed to some extent in the country, this is largely because of
the expansion of the private sector. What does this portend for both the future of the Internet as
well as inclusive and just societies?
