subsequent circumstance didn't set well with her.

Wife: I need some cash in order to pay our bill. (Facing her husband)

Husband: (anxious) i uuhh.. uhmm, i... (Stuttering)

Wife: why? Is there anything you want to say?

Husband: Im really sorry (teary eyes)

Wife: Why are you saying sorry? What’s wrong?

Husband: (in guilt) Im terribly sorry for I have put all the savings on
my bet recently at the

Casino. I admit Im not in the thinking at that moment.

(Mother is very stunned and stilled of the news)

Wife: What?! (Shout) H-ow....How can did something ridiculous!!

(Angry) Have you lost your

mind?! A-and... When did start gambling?! You even keep from me!!

Husband: Im sorry Hon, I promise not to gamble again and i will work
hard for our needs. Im

sorry (Desperate)

Wife: How can I not worry?! (In tears) If we dont have money to even
pay our bills, what do

you think will happen to our children?!! (Shout)

Husband: Im sorry...... I promise I will— (got cut off)

Wife: Will what?! Find another job?! We barely holding!!

Husband: I could ask my friends help...... Im sorry

Wife: (deep sigh) Just make sure that by tommorow we can pay our
bills....... I... I seriously don’t

know what to do anymore. (Walks away)

(After his wife left the kitchen, she called her friend)

Husband: Good day Bro...... Uhm Can I ask you?

Husband’s Friend: Oh sure, what is it?

Husband: I messed so bad this time and I need of money. (Desperate)

Husband’s Friend: You sound so devastated.... But I do have some cash
to borrow to you

Husband: Thank you.

Husband’s Friend: No worries, if you want to, I could endorse you a job
here at my company.

Husband: Yeah (nodding) that’s a big help. Anyway I owe one.

Narration: The family was devastated by the news. Even though they
had a job, it wasn’t enough to cover their elder’s college expenses. The
following day, mother had to pretend not to be concerned about
housing bills in order to not worry their children. She was forced to

borrow money from their close neighbor due to expenses. Father,

meanwhile, felt terrible guilt. When he understood what he had done
had caused problems for his family, he labeled himself dumb for what
he had done.

(The next day, their children heard them arguing after they came back
from school.)

Elder: What's the problem Mom? Dad?

Middle Child: Are we having a financial problem?

Mom: No, it's nothing.

Dad: Yes, its nothing. (nodding) Why, need something?

Elder: We both heared you, shouting.

Middle: Yes, and please don't lie. We want to know what happened.
Dad: We are so sorry, (sigh) we're struggling for money even to pay
your tuitions is already

hard. But we promise to find a way. We are going to ask your aunties
and uncles.

Mom: (in tears) Me and your dad will find a way just to give your needs.

(Skip the next day, mother ask her family some help, a family that is
not worthy to call one, thus

she called them.)

Mom: Hey sis, uhm... Do you have some money i can borrow?

Moms Sister: I do but I am going to buy some new clothes and I need it
for my vacation.

Mom: Sis its an emergency. We dont have enough money to pay your
nephew's tuition. I need your help. Please.

Moms Sister: I said I am going to use it! I dont care of my nephews.

Their not mine to worry. Go

take a job and don’t ask me again.

(End call, she then next call her aged mother. )

Mom: Can I borrow your money? Don’t worry mom, I’ll pay u.

Mother’s Mom: No, I am going to use this money.

Mom: But mom, its for your grandchild’s tuition fee. They needed it
badly.
Mother’s mom: Go away! Your such a ungrateful kid. Why did I have a
daughter like you?

You’re just a burden in this family as always. (Hanged up)

Narrator: The elder had to stop learning for a while the next day,
which was heartbreaking. Despite wanting to cry, she kept her
composure and vowed to help her parents take care of her siblings. Due
to their new occupations, Mother and Father had to put in extra hours.
They rarely. Returned home during the day, and because of their
circumstances, they had to deal with more severe hardship. Mother,
who was too dissatisfied by her husband’s actions and unable to accept
that their elders had stopped learning, had a chilly relationship with
them. At home, the eldest took care of her siblings as if they were her
own children, providing for them both at home and at school. Even
though their situation is making them miserable, they had a sibling’s
commitment to never give up.

Youngest: Why haven’t mom and dad come home yet? We're hungry.

Elder: Let’s play first while mom is not here (Started playing)

Narrations: (At afternoon)

Youngest: Mom, it’s good that you came, we’re hungry. (She greeted
her mother.) Where are

you from, mom?

Mother: I am looking for a way to earn more. (Put her bag on the chair.)

Middle child: Where is dad?

Mother: (sigh) He’s still working, any let’s eat? .

She: Yes, we are so hungry.

(Her children run to their kitchen, she follows onwards.)

(when the father came home in the middle of their dinner.)

Mother: Oh, you’re here. (Greeted without lifting her head and
continue eating.)

(When his children saw him, they were happy.)

Children: Daaddyyyy!!! (Hugging their father together.)

Elder: Where are you from, dad? We miss you. (Children nod their
head.)

Father: Good evening. Daddy is working overtime for you. (Pat their
heads.)

Father: If your done, go to your room. Your mother and I will just talk
about something.

(The children nod and ran upstairs.)

Dad: Can we talk honey? (Approach her.)

Mom: Is this about your doing, then spare me, I’m stressed. (Went to
sink to wash dishes)

Dad: (Sigh in defeat) I’m terribly sorry, I regretted a lot. I’m sorry.

Mom: (Done washing) (Faced him) I’m mad and disappointed of what
you’ve done. (In tears)

How come you are gambling?

Dad: I didn’t mean it, I thought that i would gained more money if I
played and won, but it
Didn’t. (Silently crying while saying it)

Mom: You know, I wish you had used your brain first in any
circumstances. Look now, the

money we allocated is gone!!

(While upstairs, their children heard their mother’s scream. )

Youngest: Ate, are we going to be broken family? (silently crying)

Elder: No. (Hug them) Mom and Dad won’t allow that to happen, trust
me. Okay?

Narrator: (The siblings only get nod as they hold their Elder’s words)

Dad: I know, that’s why I’m working extra hard.

Mom: (shaking her head) It’s shameful to ask money to my family, but
seeing our children

Hurting in our state right now, it’s painful. (Walks away going to their
room)

Narrator: Although it was difficult to make ends meet and much

harder to keep their family intact, Mother and Father were
determined that their children would not have to deal with the harsh
realities of life for very long. Before they could acquire enough money
for their kids, they worked incredibly hard for months. Naturally, their
kids did well in school as well, so they won’t add to their parent’s
burdens. Their parents felt so blessed to have such children. They
eventually come to terms with the commitments they made in front of
God, which is why they discussed their union for the benefit of their
family.
Mother: (Dryi ng her hand by the towel) Son, did u get the consent
form for joining in athlete?

Where is it?

Middle Child: (stop playing) Huh? I didn’t. (put down his cellphone)

Mother: What do mean by that? (Sounds confusion) I thought up until

next month is their due

for submitting?

Middle Child: Mom, if this will make tired from working to earn for my
athlete, then no, I’m not

joining.

Mom: (Singh) (Sit next to her son) Son, me and your dad have enough
money for you to. We are

not only working for your sister’s college tuition, we are working for all
of you. Don’t worry

about mom’s tiredness, it’s normal to feel that. You should not worry
anything about, okay?

Middle Child: (nodding) so.... I can join this season games Mom?

Mother: (smile) of course.

Narrator: As their kids mature and develop, parents go through ups

and downs. Every now and then, parents face additional difficulties.
They may find it more difficult as a result of these difficulties to
provide their kids with the devoted care they require for growth. We
all have a lot of duties and lead very busy lives. Spending time talking,
reading a book, or preparing dinner as a family should be prioritized as
a daily activity. Children and teenagers in your household will model
your behavior after you as the parents since you set the tone for your
home. When resolving disputes, you shouldn't yell or act violently.
Everyone benefits from feeling like they are part of a larger family
while they are working together.
