    1. The WWF is the World Wide Fund for Nature, a charity that protects wildlife
    around the world.
    2. Chi Chi was the perfect symbol for the charity because it was a rare animal which
    inspired the people who came to the zoo to learn more about animals in danger.
    3. The WWF tries to protect some of the world’s rarest animals, such as jaguars, gorillas,
    turtles and pandas.
    4. People can adopt an animal through the WWF by choosing the animal they want to

    adopt and making a donation. The WWF gives them in return photographs, information
    and an adoption certificate.

    with vocabulary appropriate to the chosen topic of the story. Words spelled correctly and

    2. Organisation and cohesion: Storyline should be clear, though paragraphing could be


    minimal. – 10 points

    3. Register and style/effect on the target reader: Consistent register suitable to the story. The
    story should be original. – 5 points
