    MONDAY FLAG RAISING SPEECH SCRIPT

    SEPTEMBER 26, 2022


    Before I will start with my oration, I will share to you one quote that made me
    inspired every day to be effectual in my duty. “If your actions inspire others to dream
    more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” —John Quincy
    Adams. This quote really reminds me of our duties and responsibilities as individual
    leaders-_ for me, becoming a leader doesn’t require ranks or authority, becoming a
    leader means doing great things that would inspire others to produce more leaders, not
    more followers.

    True Leadership is a cycle, great leaders perform their duties well in order to
    inspire others to better work. As a young officer, my primary goal is to manifest inherent
    values that police officer may have in the execution of our duties.

    In a short period of my duty, I have realized that the finest arm of the law
    protects the nation with their absolute power, they put their lives susceptible just to keep
    people away from danger. They are in charge of perpetuating peace and safety, put a
    stop to criminal activities, and enforcing the regulation lawfully. Police serves the
    community to the utmost of their capability taking over accountabilities of being a
    community peace keeper, community adviser, and even in community health service.

    As Police officers we are expected to be trusted and respected by the citizen,


    developing trust and rapport to the community in order to bring sense of security to the
    people getting rid of having hesitation about their safety.

    “We can improve our relationships with others by leaps and bounds if we become
    encouragers instead of critics.”-. Simple means that if law enforcement and the
    community develop comradeship it could eliminate the performance of criminal
    activities. To be honest, I am more than convince that if you are having holistic values
    as a leader- you can effectively preserve great respect from the people around you
    which lead them to become well rounded individual who render their faithful service to
    the nation.

    Police officer are the primary assistant of the community, as police officer we are
    responsible to build good image and have strong bond with the people around you in
    order to preserve what is requisite in the society. “There is no better exercise for
    strengthening the heart than reaching down and lifting up another”- Louise Armstrong. A
    nation is much better if the people and the leaders governing it have trust, respect, and
    consideration for each other, we are meant to help one another not to destroy one
    another.

    The challenge is --how can you make your actions inspire others to dream more,
    learn more, do more and become more. As one of those young officers serving our
    country, behind my wildest dream I am challenging everyone to be a leader in their own
    way, you can never realize that you are once a great leader until one of the country’s
    greatest leader include you in their speech as you became their inspiration in achieving
    their goals and aspirations in life. That’s the meaning of a true leader
