ADVERTISING

1. Any viral campaign you have read about

"Together with Shopee Pi Pi Pi Pi ...", you know, The Baby Shark songs and the cute dance
performed by Bao Anh - Tien Dung couple's song for the shop? with this effective viral
advertising campaign, Shopee had seduced millions of customers, Thanks to the campaign, the
Shopee trading floor has for the first time reached the highest average number of website visits in
the country. Shopee took a big leap when their website visits dramatically increased. Having
such international success, thanks to Shopee has adopted a perfect general formula: the Baby
Shark song. This song was originally a children's song that had been viral before, now it is
cleverly inserted into Shopee's brand.

2. Clever slogans that remember from advertising campaign

Well, I would say about slogan of Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola is a brand of many slogans, but "Open
Happiness" and “Share a coke” is the best slogans that quickly went viral. This is clever and
spring slogan, which encourages customers to buy and share a bottle of Coke with their love
ones stories about product on social media. I feel this is meaningful things in life

3. Sponsorship of any sporting or cutural event

Coca-Cola, the world’s leading beverage giant, sponsored the World Cup 2021. Previously, it
sponsored the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. In addition, Coca-Cola has a long term
relationship with many soccer, basketball and hockey teams.

4. What makes a good TV advertisement?

there are many factor to make a good TV advertisement. Example, I want to say advertisement of
shope. The Baby Shark song and the cute dance performed by two famous characters. Having
such international success, thanks to Shopee has adopted a perfect general formula:
Baby Shark song. This song was originally a children's song that had been viral before, now it is
cleverlyinserted into Shopee's brand. Choosing a children's song is also a smart
decision: children's music is often short, catchy but easy to be attached. Along with that, the
name Shopee repeated throughout the lesson also increase sawareness of the brand
and makes it easy for consumers to associate with Shopee whenever they hear the melody
of the song. Another good thing about this campaign is that the Shopee ads are very short, only
30 seconds, so it doesn't cause too much trouble for viewers.

5. Do you think that these advertising practices are acceptable? Are any other types
of avertisement offemsive?
 Using children in advertisement: in my point of view, using children in
advertisements is a good way, but it need depend on kind of product and depend
on advertisement. Advertising for product related to children that is for children
like: baby food, milk, clothes,... is acceptable to using children in advertisement.
Children will have more talent, entertainment and attraction than adults. On the
other hand, it is unacceptable, advertising for product brings disadvantaged for
children like: alcohol. , tobacco,... so on. This should be banned. That's all my
idea
 Using actors who pretend to be experts: we made me think about there are two
situations in which people use actors who pretend to be the expert. It is about
whether these are by real experts by some credible result or not. So the first
situation is that no expert confirms no expert guarantees the quality of product
and people who pretend to be experts to claim that these products have high
quality. In this situation, it deceives the customers by imitating an expert by
giving very faulty information to customers. That means one product hasn't been
researched or hasn't been investigated by a real expert. I think it is unacceptable
for high actors to confirm to guarantee the quality of products. But in the second
situation, when these products are confirmed, investigated by real experts. I think
it is quite acceptable for actors to represent experts to guarantee the quality of
product
 Using nudity in advertisements: This situation is unacceptable and it is
offensive if use nudity in advertisements in public. Instead of, we have an
alternative method to advertise a sensitive product rather than nudity. Because
we must think about audiences of TV commercials, it can include children and
underage people. It is unsuitable is offensive for them to watch that kind of
advertising. You know, in Japan, there are several programs only for adults, you
say that adults and there include nudity but they have to follow the rule. They
only show it after 11p.m and on some channels, they can be unlocked by
number. They have to insert the number in there to lock into that channels. This
situation is quite acceptable
 Using “shock tactics” in advertisements: it depends on the degree of shock,
and it also depends on the messages. That is conveyed to you in short
advertising. Advertising campaign to raise awareness of people several issues so
it need have a degree of shock suitably and relevant mesages
 Promoting alcohol on TV: we always see people drinking alcohol look very
cheerful, look happy. Drinking together to establish some bond between them.
However, It might create a very misleading image for children. Homeless to
drink alcohol, you drink to be happy but there are a lot of negative consequences
of drinking. Awfully, if children or underage have faulty beliefs about alcohol.
so I think it is acceptable to advertise alcohol but only on some like some
channels for adults or advertise after 10p.m for an adult rather than all long day
when children can spend time watching them
 Camparing your product to your cpmpetitor product: The point comparison
is a reason to show that your product is superior to your competitors. So when
you compare the strength of your product compared to the witnesses of your
competitive product way to highlight the difference between your product and
your competitors. I think it depends on the purpose of using the way you do that

 Advertising has a bad influence on children: I agree with this statement. some
advertisements may cause fault image and mislead in for mention children like violence,
fighting, .... if you watch some advertisement about example sting. It shows a lot of fighting
like people hitting others and drinking stings to get more power to get more energy to be
engaged in some violent activities for children and children may imitate or copy violent
scenes. What's more, the advertisement is very attractive very eye-catching very impressive
with a lot of colors, so children are easily impressed by the kind of things and they often
watch advertisements during eating. When they watch advertisements, they focus on
advertisements, and maybe they indigest. When children watch TV much everyday, they can
be short-sighted. type of advertisement about food, candy, chocolate, .... are tempting
children, they will ask their parent to buy for them, It is unnecessary things, which only
attract children.

Images change. Celebrities make mistakes. And when they do, they can affect the brands
they endorse.

Celebrities become overexposed. When a celebrity works with so many companies, the
celebrity’s credibility may suffer. People may feel that the celebrity will endorse anything
to make a buck.

Celebrities can overshadow brands. Consumers may focus on the celebrity, not the
product. This is a particular danger when celebrities endorse multiple products at a time.
