1. Read and research on the different principles of counseling.
2. Make a concept map about those principles.
3. Make a table chart for those principles and provide a brief explanation of each
principle.
Questions:
1. What are the different principles of counseling?
Like said above, observing these principles are important because all
counselors need to ensure that they have the trust and cooperation of their
clients. Furthermore, it’s easier to pinpoint a certain problem and solve it during
the treatment process if a client is able to communicate freely and easily with
his/her counselor.
Closure: The principles of counseling are imbedded in the very process of counseling
namely: developing trust, exploring problem areas, helping to set goals, empowering
into action, helping to maintain change, and agreeing when to end.
