1.INTRODUCTION

A hydraulic arm is a structure or mechanical device that is divided into three parts linked together
and that can move independently of each other and these movements are made by increasing or
decreasing the pressure exerted by a liquid medium and a gaseous medium.

2.HYPOTHESIS

We think that the hydraulic excavator would be a good project and the result would be like we
want because we are putting all of our effort. And we are going to learn different things one of
them to work in group and what is the hydraulic excavator’s procedure and how it works.

3.OBJECTIVE

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

 Solve problems in which the student is affected with the learning of hydraulics through
tecnological projects that help us to solve problems of daily life.
 Construction and operation of an arm through a hydraulic system.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

 Demonstrate the application of forces through fluids, we will also demonstrate that it has
rotational movement, hydrostatic pressure. Kinetic energy, tensions, work-power-energy.
 We will demonstrate that in the hydraulic arm it is the same process of the hydraulic
press since it lifts large masses with small forces.
 Strengnthen in students the motivation for the development of learning the technological
projects.
 Motivate the student to learn the principles of hydraulics and its fields of application.
 Find ways to use water as a source that can work as hydraulic oil for a hydraulic
excavator.
4.THEORETICAL FOUNDATION

ORIGIN OF THE HYDRAULIC ARM:

In ancient times, due to the need to build large buildings, they created a tool to lift and
transport large masses that they used for construction; This tool was a wooden arm that
rotated on an axis to be able to lift and carry the materials from one place to another.

The arm consisted of a system of pulleys that, due to the force of the wokers who pulled the
roles, alowed it to lift the material and then lower it when the force was reduced. over the
years this arm had been acquiring improvements both in materials and its operation.

HYDRAULIC CONCEPT:

Hydraulics is the part of physics that studies the mechanics of fluids;

Also, through mathematical calculation, the design of small-scale models and experimentation
with them, it is possible to determine the construction characteristics that dams, ports,
canals, pipes and hydraulic machines such as the jack and the press should have.

5.MATERIALS

1. Cardboard
2. Colored paper
3. Silicone gun
4. Drill or perforator
5. Tip chopsticks
6. 8 Large syringes
7. Clear glue
8. Clamps
9. Can of soda
10. Wooden pallets
11. Greedy screws
12. Dyes
13. Hoses

6.PROCEDURE

 We meausure and cut the pieces on the cardboard.

 We cover the pieces of colored paper.
 We mark where it will be drilled and drill.
 We join the pieces with the toothpicks and pierce the syringes to place them in the
proyect
 We introduce the 4 syringes with the clamps and the tip sticks.
 Then we make the excavator shovel and introduce it with its respective mechanism and
procedure.
 Then we make the movable cardboard base and finish inserting the syringes.
 And we make the levers with four other syringes to achieve the hydraulic technique.
 And finally we introduce the hoses and fill the syringes with water that we will use as
hydraulic oil.
