PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION INTO "POST GRADUATE MEDICAL COURSES


UNDER COMPETENT AUTHORITY QUOTA FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-23

REGULATIONS:

The following are the Regulations for admission into Post Graduate Medical
Degree / Diploma Courses under Competent Authority Quota for the
academic year 2022-23 and shall apply to all admissions into all the
Medical Colleges affiliated to KNR University of Health Sciences in the State
of Telangana.

1. NUMBER OF SEATS UNDER COMPETENT AUTHORITY QUOTA:

a. The number of seats to be available for the academic year 2022-23 in

Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma courses after excluding seats


contributed to All India Quota from Government Medical Colleges and
Competent Authority Quota seats in Private Medical colleges will be in
accordance with the orders of the NMC / GOI / Govt. of Telangana.

The seat matrix for Competent Authority Quota seats for academic year
i.e., 2022-23 will be displayed in the KNRUHS website before notification
for exercising web options for counseling.

b In case any new PG Medical seats are permitted by Government of India


in colleges affiliated to the KNRUHS for the Academic Year 2022-23,
those seats also will be filled up. No further notification will be issued.
2. ELIGIBILITY
a. The candidates who fulfil the following criteria are
eligible for admission into Post Graduate Medical
Degree and Diploma courses. Candidates have to apply
online and upload the original certificates for
Competent Authority Quota seats in colleges affiliated
to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences,
Warangal.

b. The candidates qualified in NEET-PG-2022 examination with the


following cutoff scores and above as per Notice dated: 01.06.2022 of
National Board of Examinations, New Delhi as per section (10) of
Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 are eligible to apply.

a. The rules for admission into Post Graduate Medical Degree and Diploma

courses under Competent Authority Quota have been issued by Government


vide G.O.Ms. No. 155, HM&FW Dept Dated: 18-11-2021 and subsequent
amendments. These rules are strictly applicable for eligibility criteria, seat
matrix, reservations and selection procedure. Relevant Hon'ble Supreme
Court & Hon'ble High Court orders shall also be followed.

b. The Candidate should be Citizen of India. Candidates who satisfy the Local

or Non-local status as per G.O.P.No. 646 Education (W) Department, Dated


10-7-1979 (Presidential Order) only are eligible to apply for PG Medical
admissions.
c. Candidates who have studied MBBS in the states of Telangana
and Andhra Pradesh and obtained degree are eligible.
d. Candidates who are domicile of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh and
studied MBBS/equivalent course and obtained degree from other
states in India / other country are eligible.

e. MBBS/Equivalent Degree should be recognized by the NMC.

f. Must have studied MBBS in any one of the Medical Colleges in India.

g. MBBS Graduates should have completedinternship on or before

31-07-2022 from recognized colleges (by NMC).

h. In case of In-service candidates, Government service rendered shall be

calculated as on 31-07-2022.

i. Candidates must have registered with State Medical Council and subject

to the fulfillment of the conditions stipulated in Regulations and its


documentary proof should be uploaded along with the online
application.
j. Candidates must pay fee for verification of certificates with regard to

equivalence / equivalency as specified in the regulations along with the


registration fee ( for Degree obtained in other state/country). The
verification fee and registration fee once paid will not be refunded or
adjusted to a future date. Therefore candidates are advised to check
eligibility conditions thoroughly before applying for determining merit
position in respective categories for State quota seats using NEET PG – 2022
rank.
Note: If a candidate is found to have submitted false information or
concealed any relevant information regarding this matter, such
candidate is liable to be disqualified for admission and in case
already admitted, the admission will be cancelled. Further
disciplinary action against him/her will be initiated by the
University as per rules.
k. Eligibility conditions in respect of candidates who are
domicile of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh and possessing foreign
medical degree.

i. The candidate shall satisfy Local / Non local status as per GO.No.646

Edu.(W1) department dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order.


The candidates who are eligible as Non local status candidates are
eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also
eligible for15% unreserved seats.

ii. If the candidate is having a Medical qualification equivalent to

MBBS (Primary Medical qualification) from countries outside India,


the Degree should have been recognized by Medical Council of
India/National Medical Commission for enrolment as Medical
Practitioner in the Country and registered by MCI/NMC.
iii. Candidate must have Permanent Registration with Medical Council

of India / any State Medical Council and certificate should be


uploaded along with the application.
iv. Candidates must pay Equivalency fee for verification of Degree

certificate obtained outside the State as specified in the regulations


along with the Registration and Processing fee. The Verification fee
and Registration and Processing fee once paid will not be refunded or
adjusted to a future date. Therefore candidates are advised to check
eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for determining merit
position in respective categories for State quota seats as per
NEET PG – 2022 scores.
v. Candidates who are studying Postgraduate Degree/Diploma and DNB

courses are not eligible to apply for Postgraduate Degree/Diploma


and DNB courses.
3. RESERVATION IN FAVOUR OF THE LOCAL CANDIDATES

3.1 Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the

local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P.


Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 for
Non- State- Wide courses as given in Annexure-III of GO (P) No. 646,
Edu. (W1) Department, dt.10-7-1979.

3.2 LOCAL AREA:


3.2.1 The part of the State comprising the Districts of Srikakulam,
Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari,
Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as the local area
for the purposes of admission to the Andhra University,
**(Nagarjuna University) and to any other education institution
(other than a State-wide University or State-wide Educational
Institution) which is subject to the control of the State Government
and is situated in that part.

3.2.2 The part of the State comprising the Districts of Adilabad,


Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam,
Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal
shall be regarded as local area for the purposes of admission to
the Osmania University, ** (the Kakatiya University) and to any
other educational institution (other than a State-wide University
or State- wide Educational Institution) which is subject to the
control of the State Government and is situated in that part.

3.2.3 The part of the State comprising the Districts of


Ananthapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor and Nellore shall be
regarded as local area for the purposes of admission
to Sri Venkateswara University and to any other educational
institution (other than a State-wide University or State-wide
Educational Institution) which is subject to the control of the

State Government and is situated in that part.


3.3 LOCAL CANDIDATES: Eligible for 85% of reserved seats for
local candidates
3.3.1
A Candidate for admission shall be regarded as local
candidate in relation to a local area,

i) If he/she studied in an Educational Institution or Educational

Institutions in such local area for a period of not less than 4


consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in
which he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared in
relevant qualifying examination.
or
ii) Where during the whole or any part of the 4 consecutive

academic years ending with the academic year in which


he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared for the
relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in
Educational Institutions, if he/she had resided in that local
area for a period of not less than 4 years immediately
preceding the date of commencement of the relevant
qualifying examination, in which he/she appeared or as the
case may be first appeared.

3.3.2 A candidate who is not regarded as a local candidate


under sub-regulation (3.3.1) Above in relation to any local
area shall

i) If he/she has studied in educational institutions in the State


for a period of not less than 7 consecutive academic years
ending with academic year in which he/she appeared or as
the case may be first appeared for the relevant qualifying
examination be regarded as local candidate in relation to:
a) Such local area where he/she has studied for the
maximum period out of the said period of 7 years.
b) Where the period of his/her study in two or more local
areas are equal, such local area where he/she has
laststudied in such equal periods
or

ii) If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive

academic years ending with academic year in which he/she


appeared or as the case may be first appeared for relevant
qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the
educational institution in any local area, but he/she has
resided in the State during the whole of the said period of 7
years be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
a) Such local area where he/she has resided for the
maximum period out of the said period of 7 years.
or
b) Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local
areas are equal, such local area where he/she has resided
last in such equal periods.

EXPLANATION : (for purpose of this sub-regulation)

i) "Educational Institution" means a University or any Educational

Institution recognized by the State Government, a University or any


other Competent Authority.

ii) "Relevant qualifying examination in relation to admission to any

course of study" means the examination, a pass in which is the


minimum educational qualification for admission to such course of
study.

NOTE: The relevant qualifying examination for admission into Post


Graduate courses is MBBS examination. The question whether the
candidate is a local candidate or not will be determined with
reference to his/her first appearance in the Part II of Final MBBS
examination.
iii) In reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate
has studied any period of interruption of his/her study by reasons of
his/her failure to pass any examination and any period of his/her study
in a Statewide University or a Statewide Educational Institution shall be
disregarded.

b) The status of candidates who passed MBBS from Siddhartha


Medical College will be decided basing on their study period
prior to their admission into MBBS course at Siddhartha
Medical College for arriving at the local and non-local status,
since it is a Statewide Institution.

iv)The question whether any candidate for admission into any

course of study has resided in any local area shall be determined


with reference to the places where the candidate actually resided
and not with reference to the residence of his/her parent or
guardian.

3.4. While determining the number of seats to be reserved in favour of


local candidates under sub-regulation (3.1), any fraction of seat
shall be counted as one, provided that there shall be one
unreserved seat.

3.5. If a local candidate in respect of a local area is not available to fill

any seats reserved or allocated in favour of local candidate in


respect of that local area, such seats shall be filled in as if it had not
been reserved.

3.6 The applicant who claims to be local candidate shall produce study
certificate/certificates issued by the Head of the Educational
Institution / Institutions concerned indicating the details of the year
or years in which the Candidate has studied in educational institution
in such local area for a period of not less than 4/7 consecutive
academic years as the case may be ending with the academic year in
which he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared for the
Part-II of Final MBBS examination.
Those who did not qualify as local candidate but claim to
qualify by virtue of residence shall produce a certificate issued by
an officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of Mandal
Revenue Officer independent charge of Subtaluk / Mandal.

3.7. CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE FOR 15% UNRESERVED QUOTA

The following categories are eligible to apply for admission to the


remaining 15% of un-reserved seats.

3.7.1 All candidates defined under sub-regulation of


Regulation-3 as local candidates.

3.7.2 Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period

of ten years excluding period of study outside the State, or


either of those parents have resided in the State for a total
period of ten years excluding period of employment
outside the State

3.7.3 Candidates who are children of parents who are in the

employment of this State or Central Government, Public


Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other
similar Quasi-Public Institutions in the State

3.7.4 Candidates, who are spouses of those in employment of this

State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations,


Local Bodies, Universities and Educational Institutions
recognized by the Government or a University or other
Competent authority and similar other Quasi Government
Institutions within the State.
3.7.5 Candidates who are employed in the State Government

Undertakings, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies,


Universities and other similar quasi-Public institutions
within the State.

3.7.6 Candidates who are spouses of the local candidates


as per Regulation- 3.4.

N.B.: Relevant certificates must be uploaded along with the application in


respect of their claim. In respect of proof of 10 years residence, the
certificate should be obtained from the Revenue authorities not
below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer / Tahsildar.

4. RESERVATIONS

4.1 15%, 6%, 29% seats of Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses
are reserved for SC, ST and BC (BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-
D-7% and BC-E-4%) candidates respectively, which are called
vertical reservations.

4.1.1. Candidates claiming reservations under SC/ST/BC


categories shall upload latest social status certificate issued
by Competent Authority of Government of Telangana as
specified in the application form. Candidates claiming
reservations under SC/ST/BC categories and obtained Social
Status Certificates from the State of Andhra Pradesh will be
eligible only for the castes included under the approved list
of SC/ST/BC categories notified by the Government of
Telangana.

4.1.2. Minority medical colleges seats are reserved for respective

Minority category candidates only.


4.2. 33 1/3 % of seats shall be reserved for women and 5% seats shall be
reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates respectively,
which are horizontal reservations for Post Graduate Degree and
Diploma Courses.

Note:- The regulations of Medical Council of India/NMC shall be implemented in


admissions of candidates under Persons with Disability (PWD) category.

The candidate seeking admission under PWD reservation should


apply under PWD Category.
The Medical Board constituted by the University as per Government
Orders issued as rules for admission into Post Graduate courses. The
Medical Board will assess the percentage of disability as per Medical
Council of India/NMC regulations. Candidates claiming reservation under
PWD quota should present themselves before the Board constituted by
University for evaluation of PWD percentage and confirmation of
eligibility. The decision of Medical Board specially constituted for this
purpose is final and binding on the candidates. The schedule for
evaluation by Medical Board will be displayed on KNRUHS website.

4.3. SERVICE CANDIDATES RESERVATION:

4.3.1 20% of seats in Postgraduate clinical broad


specialties and 30% of the seats in Postgraduate pre and
para clinical broad specialties for Degree and Diploma
courses are reserved for in-service candidates under Service
Quota which are horizontal reservations Eligibility criteria
for in-service candidates are as notified in G.O.Ms.No.155,
HM&FW, Dated:18-11-2022.
4.3.2. ELIGIBILITY FOR STUDY LEAVE

Eligibility for Study leave will be as notified in


G.O. Ms. No.155, HM&FW (C1) Dept., Govt. of Telangana,
Dated: 18-11-2021.

5. ONLINE APPLICATIONS

5.1 *The on-line application form for determining merit position in


respective categories for Competent Authority Quota seats using NEET-
PG -2022 rank will be available on the website https://tspgmed.tsche.in
from 8.00 A.M on 24 -08-2022 to 30-08-2022 up to 5.00 p.m.

Note: The candidates are advised to take a print out of the


Prospectus / Instructions to fill the application form from the
website http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in or
https://tspgmed.tsche.in before proceeding to fill the application
form.

5.2 The candidate should fill the online application form available in
the website with the data required for through computer/mobile
with data connection. The online application form can be filled
through any computer with internet connection or mobile with
data connection. The candidate is advised to fill the online
application form after going through the Prospectus and by
keeping all the Certificates, Scanned Photo and Signature in the
jpg/.gif format separately (as shown below) (step-1) ready.
Candidates shall enter his/her correct data and upload the photo,
signature and original certificates after the payment of
registration and verification fee through Online.
5.2.1 Procedure of filling online application, uploading of certificates

1. Open the website https://tspgmed.tsche.in Home page displayed as follows.

There are 4 steps to register for PG admission program i.e


a. Mobile and Email Registration,
b. Candidate Registration (Payment of fee),
c. Updating of data
d. Uploading of Certificates.

2. Monitor Resolution to be set to maximum, Best viewed in 1920 X1080 pixels.

3. Click on the Mobile and Email Registration. The candidate should have a valid /working Mobile and Email
Id. OTP will be sent to registered Mobile and Email Id at different stages. The candidate should keep the
Mobile and Email Id active till completions of the counselling process. The candidate has to enter OTP’s
received to mobile and Email Id for registration and Verification of Mobile and Email Id.
4. After entering the details click on validate button.

5. If all the details entered are correct and verified with OTP’s your system will display a successful message
and proceed to registration form
6. Registration Form appears in which Candidate has to give the details.

7. After entering the details click on validate button it will take you to the Payment Gate way for payment
fee.
8. If all the details entered are correct your system will display payment reference number Button to
proceed for payment. Depending on your caste category the Registration fee is varied. Once paid you will
not get any refund. Hence, you are requested to double check the eligibility conditions mentioned in
the Prospectus yourself and pay the fee.

9. Now you will be directed to the Payment Gateway,

After payment will receive a Successful Payment message on the screen and you will
receive the Registration number to your mobile and email. Please note down the
registration number for further correspondence

Do not refresh or close the page until you will receive a Successful Payment message

It may take few seconds to processes the payment and verify the details wait patiently

11. For updating the details of the candidate enter Roll Number and the Registration number and
click on validate button to enter into the Application form.
12. The application form will be displayed as shown below. You have to fill the details and upload Passport
Size Photo and Signature(Note: Scanned photo and Signature should be less than 100 KB and in
JPEG or JPG format)
13. After filling the form, click on Saveand Exit Button. This process can be repeated till all the
data you entered are correct. Then click on Upload Certificates Button to proceed for
document attachments.
14. Click Upload Certificates. You will be directed to upload Scanned PDF Certificates (Note: The size of each
PDF document should be less than 500 KB)
15. After uploading all the required certificates, Click on Print Application, You will get your filled in
application form, take printout of this form for further assistance.

Do's and Don'ts


Do not use mobiles and tablets to Apply. Use only computers.
Do not select or enter false information which can be liable for Criminal Action.
Avoid using slow internet facility.

Keep your mobile with you while Applying and do not block SMS.

6. The provisional final merit position of the candidates
who have applied online in response to the
notification issued by KNR University of Health
Sciences for Competent Authority Quota seats shall be
determined by NEET-PG-2022 rank and as per their
eligibility criteria, applicable regulations, guidelines
and reservation policies viz:

6.1 As per PG Medical Regulations of National Medical


Commission, the candidates shall secure minimum of 50
Percentile for General category , 40 Percentile for SC/ST/BC
category and 45 percentile for Persons with Disabilities (under
general category) in NEET-PG-2022 as per the Cutoff scores to
be eligible for admission.

6.2 The University will release provisional final merit list of eligible
candidates for exercising web options after verification of
uploaded original certificates by the University and officials of
concerned departments.

NOTE: Candidates who have applied online in response to this


office notification for determining merit position for
Competent Authority Quota seats shall upload the original
certificates online along with the application. Candidates
have to submit one set of print out of application form,
original certificates and one set of self attested copies of
certificates at allotted college at the time of admission for
final verification. In case of any discrepancy, allotment of
admission is cancelled.
7. COUNSELING
Provisional Final merit list will be displayed on KNRUHS website
after scrutiny of uploaded certificates and application.
Verification of uploaded certificates will be done only once for
web based counseling irrespective of number of phases of
exercising web based options and counselings. Hence, candidates
who have applied on-line are advised to upload all original
certificates at the time of online registrations without fail for
scrutiny by concerned departmental officials. No individual
communications will be sent. The notification for schedule for
exercising web options will be issued separately on KNRUHS
website. Candidates are informed to check the website regularly
for notifications.

The Admission Committee shall have power to review the


selection in case of any errors, misrepresentation or glaring
injustice and cancel the selection/admission. In all matters
relating to selection and admissions, the decision of the
Admission Committee shall be final and binding on the
candidates and selections cannot be questioned after admissions
are closed.

The procedure of selection of candidates will be as per


G.O.MS. NO.155, HM&FW (C1) DEPT., Govt. of Telangana,
Dated:18-11-2021, subsequent amendments and relevant
Hon'ble Supreme Court & Hon'ble High Court Orders.

The tuition fee for Competent Authority Quota seats in


respect of Degree and Diploma of clinical, para- clinical
and pre-clinical courses will be as notified by the
Government of Telangana and relevant Hon'ble High
Court orders.
8. ADMISSION RULES:

8.1 The letter of allotment for admission of selected candidate has


to be downloaded from website after payment of University fee
by payment gateway.

8.2 All the candidates including In-service candidates joining the

Post Graduate degree, diploma courses shall execute bond on a


stamp paper of Rs. 100/- as prescribed in Annexure-II to the
effect that he / she will complete the prescribed period of
training or in default to pay Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty
Lakhs only) to the KNRUHS and shall refund the amount
received as stipend/salary upto that date to the Government.

8.2.1 Bond for service after completion of degree: All


Postgraduates (excluding in-service candidates) shall serve the
Government of Telangana, if necessary, in Government institutions
for a period of one year as per the orders of the State Government.
A bond of Rs.10,00,000 (Rupees ten lakhs only) on admission into
Postgraduate Diploma course and Rs.20,00,000 (Rupees twenty
lakhs only) on admission into Postgraduate Degree course shall be
executed by candidates at the time of admission
8.3 The admitted candidates who discontinue the course after the second
phase of counseling or later will have to pay penalty of Rs.50,00,000/-
(Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) to prevent seat blocking. They will be debarred
from participating in counselings for admission into Post Graduate
degree, diploma courses for a period of three (3) years under KNR UHS.
8.4 The original certificates submitted by the candidates at the time of

admission to the Principal of the allotted college shall not be returned


to the candidates until they complete their course of study, subject to
sub-regulation 8.2 and 8.2.1 above.
8.5 Attendance: Candidates selected for the various courses should

be whole time resident students. Candidates have to compulsorily


stay in hostels, wherever provided by college management. In
service candidates will have to apply for study leave to pursue
their studies and are required to produce the leave sanction order
from the Competent Authority not later than three months after
joining the course. The candidate is required to put in a minimum
of 80% attendance during each academic year for being eligible to
appear for the examination.

In a year all 365 days will be considered as working days and


students should get 80% attendance each academic year
separately to get eligibility for appearing for University exams. The
remaining days of absence (including maternity leave) will be
considered for extension.

8.5.1 Leave: Students will be permitted to avail 30 days leave per


year. Post Graduates are not allowed to go on leave for more
than 10 days continuously. In case of Medical leave / Maternity
leave / any other leave or unauthorized absence beyond 30
days in a year, the study period of the candidate will be
extended to the extent of such period. No other leave is
permitted.

8.5.2 Maternity Leave: Women students can avail Maternity leave


upto 180 days only once in their PG course of study and the study
period will be extended to the extent of Maternity leave availed. The
candidate shall not be eligible to appear in the University
examinations till the completion of study period as per MCI/NMC
Regulations (Duration of course).
8.6 Break of study and re-admission: If a student absents
continuously for a period of 91days to one year and seeks permission to
attend the course, he/she shall submit an application in prescribed format
by paying requisite fee in favour of Registrar, KNR University of Health
Sciences payable at TELANGANA, forwarded to the Registrar, KNR
University of Health Sciences with the recommendation of the Principal.
Candidates who discontinue the course for more than one year are not
eligible and are not permitted for re- admission. Regulations for
readmission after break of study along with application format and fee
payable is available in the university website. The candidates are advised
to refer the regulations before submitting the application and paying the
fee. If they fulfilled the regulatory conditions, they may submit
applications through the Principal of the College by paying the fee.
Candidates who discontinue the course for more than one year are not
eligible for re admission as per GO.Ms.No.155. HM&FW (C1) Department
Dated: 18-11-2021.

8.7 Private Practice: Post Graduates are not allowed to do any


private practice or consultation and should not accept any part
time employment in any State or Central or Quasi Government or
Private organizations during the period of Post Graduation study.
The Principal has to take appropriate action after giving
opportunity for explanation, if any student violates this rule.

8.8 College Regulations: Candidates are required to follow the rules

and regulations of the college and should also abide by the


regulations of the University. Candidates are informed that their
correspondence with the University shall be forwarded by the
Principal of college with his remarks. (through proper channel)
for consideration. Under no circumstances they should have any
correspondence with higher authorities directly without prior
permission of the Principal
9. CLOSURE OF ADMISSIONS:
9.1 The admissions shall be closed as per the schedule notified

by the University as per MCI/NMC Regulations.

9.2 Any vacancy after the date of closure of admissions shall not be

filled. They will not be carried forward to the next year as per
the directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of `India.

10. COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE: The course shall


commence as per the schedule notified by National Medical
Commission. The duration of the course shall be calculated from
the date of commencement of the course and shall be uniform for all
the candidates irrespective of individual dates of admission.

11. DURATION OF COURSE:

11.1The duration of P.G. Diploma courses is 2 years and P.G. Degree

courses is 3 years, In the case of students having a recognized


two year Post Graduate Diploma course in the same subject,
the duration of Degree course in the same subject shall be two
years.

11.2 DISSERTATION:

The Post Graduates must register the topic of their dissertation


with the University after admission within six months of
commencement of the course and approval of the University should
be obtained. The dissertation shall be submitted within 2 ½ years of
commencement of the course. In the case of the candidates granted
exemption of one year of study period of degree course
(candidates passed diploma of the same subject), the dissertation
shall be submitted within 1 ½ years of commencement of the course.
If the above schedule is not followed, the period of Post Graduation
course will be extended by six months.
11.3 A student of a Postgraduate degree course in broad specialties
shall present one poster and present one paper at a National /
State conference. Candidate has to present one research paper
which should be published / accepted for publication /submitted
for publication during the period of his / her postgraduate
studies so as to make him / her eligible to appear at the
Postgraduate degree examination.

11.4 A Candidate registered for MD/MS Degree Examinations shall


pass the final examinations within 4 years after completion of the
course and the candidates registered for P.G. Diploma courses
should clear the examination within 2 (two) years after completion
of the course. If he / she does not pass the examination within the
period specified above, he / she shall not be permitted to appear
for examinations thereafter.

12. MIGRATION AND TRANSFER OF CANDIDATES:

Migration / Transfer / Mutual transfer of Post Graduate students


from one Medical college to another Medical College, from one
course to another course and from Degree to Diploma and vice
versa are not permitted under any circumstances.

13. POWERS OF PRINCIPALS:

Not with standing anything contained in these regulations, the


Principals of Medical Colleges in the State may at any time before
completion of the Post Graduate course either on his own motion or on
the application of any person after due and proper enquiry and after
giving the person two weeks time from the date of the receipt of the
show cause notice to submit a written explanation and or on a
personal hearing, order the cancellation of admission to the course, if
in his opinion, such candidate had furnished incorrect particulars or
false information in the application form or in the documents attached
thereto or in the Statements made either before the authority In-
charge of admissions or the Principal or any other manner. Against any
such order of the Principal, an appeal shall lie to the Registrar, KNR
University of Health Sciences, TELANGANA

14. POWERS OF THE KNR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES:


KNR University of Health Sciences, may either suomoto or on an
application made to them, call for and examine the records relating to
any selection or admission or cancellation thereof in respect of the
admission made by the concerned Authority, for the purpose of
satisfying themselves as to the correctness of legality or propriety of
such selection or cancellation and pass such order in relation there to
as they deem fit including cancellation of the selection already
published or admission already made, provided that the University
may, before canceling such selection or admission, give an
opportunity to the authority and to the person affected to showcause
against such cancellation. University has every right to cancel the
admission of any candidate without any notice, if the certificates
produced by the candidate are found to be fake / false/forged.

15. Discipline:
The students shall maintain strict discipline during the period of
study/training program. The candidates shall not resort to any strikes
during the period of their study. The students are not permitted in
criticizing the policies of the Institute/University either before the print or
electronic media. Their grievances (if any) may be submitted to the
Dean/Principal through proper channel. They are not permitted to
approach the legal authorities/ NMC/Govt. without prior permission by
the Institution and University. In case of violation of the conduct rules, the
admission of the candidate is liable for cancellation apart from invoking
the terms and conditions of the bond.
16. Ragging:
Ragging is prohibited in the Educational Institutions of State of Telangana
and students shall not involve in ragging which may lead to serious
consequences including cancellation of seat and punishments as per law.

17. All the PG Medical students for both Degree and Diploma shall
submit a bond to serve the Government of Telangana for one year
after completion of course as per Government Regulations at the
time of admission.

18. Any candidate who has applied online and uploaded certificates
for verification and exercises web options for web based
counseling is deemed to have read the Prospectus and shall
abide by all conditions and clauses of the Prospectus.
