EXECUTIVE SUMMERY
The project site Debre Tabor town, the capital of South Gondar Zone among the eleven
administrative Zones of the Amara Regional state, is situated in Northeastern Ethiopia at
geographic coordinates of 110 50′09″ -110 50′12″latitude and 380 00′-38º01'40"E longitude.
As many of the Ethiopian urban centers Debre Tabor has also experiencing a potable water
shortage and sanitation problems for long periods. As an indicator of such water supply, shortage
and poor sanitation different water born diseases are observed.
Recognizing such problems, we have dilled in designing the water supply system of the town for
20-year period that will be implemented from 2014 G.C.
For the water, demand estimation of the town for the future years we have used the survey data is
including the socio-economic condition, institutional and commercial sectors and other demand
factors. We have use the population in year 2007 as a base year population to forecast the future
town population. To make the operation easier and considering an efficient design method we
have delineated the town into two-pressure zone (zone I and zone II) which is supposed to be
supplied from reservoirs at two different places. This is also for simplification of the project
implementation and cost investment. For such reasons also we have divided the project
implementation into two phases (phase one up to 2020 and phase two up to 2034).
The network system of the project is executed with the help of EPANET software. The network
of the town is looped as much as possible for the purpose of simpler operation and to avoid
accumulation of dissolved solids at the dead end. The water sources for the first phase are from
ground water. As per the water source investigation report of Metaferia consulting engineers the
Ground water source of the town is very low. Hence, surface alternative source is proposed for
the future. The pump and power requirement for the supply system is analyzed with 20hr/day
pumping time since the well yield is very low.
To clearly anticipate the likely environmental risks and benefits the potential environmental
effects of the project are assessed against the background conation of the existing environmental
condition.
CHAPTER 1
1. INTRODUCTION
Earth, the blue planet, is an exceptional to which living things can survive since the distinctive
element water it has. Water required to fulfill a wide range of human needs should not only be in
good quantity but also in an excellent quality. However, the water supply and sanitation status in
most urban and semi-urban areas of the country is generally characterized by water scarcity as well as
insufficient services and minimum level of exploitation of the available sources. These all cases can
be either of the following:-
Financial limitation
Our project includes sections covering a brief introduction about Debre Tabor town, population and
water demand with some descriptions about the present water resource investigation and description
of the proposed design scheme.
Throughout The design, reference has been made to the design criteria, which are approved by
Ministry of Water Resource.
To project the population of the town for water demand analysis of the town.
Forecast the water demands throughout the design period for safe and adequate water supply and
distribution network analysis.
To improve level of water supply service of Debre Tabor town which enhances economic
activities and living standard of the town by providing adequate water supply
To make the water supply service reliable by improving the distribution system in correlated to
the progressive water demand of the town.
Analyze the pump and power requirement for the system to lift the required water with adequate
pressure head.

DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
Most communities in Debre Tabor town have no satisfactory water supply and sanitation facilities.
This brings hindrance to the substantial development effort that nation made to extricate them out
poverty.
The provision of adequate and safe potable water in the town will significantly improve community’s
health status. So one among 10 Ethiopian millennium development goals can be addressed.

2. Back ground information
2.1 Location and topography
Debre Tabor town is situated in Amhara national regional state at northwestern part of the country
with geographic coordinates of 110 50′09″ -110 50′12″latitude and 380 00′-38º01'40"E longitude.
Debre tabor is located in the northern part of Ethiopia.
Currently Debre Tabor town is the capital of South Gondar Administrative Zone with a total surface
area of 110.12 square kilometers. It is the capital of South Gondar zone of Amhara Region located at
a road distance of 102 km from the regional capital Bahir Dar 672 km from Addis Ababa, national
capital. The town is accessible from Werota vie 42km all asphalt road on the way to Woldia.
The Amhara National Regional State Regulation 17/1996 EC (2004 GC) expanded the boundaries of
Debre Tabor to include four rural kebeles. More recently, the nine kebeles were merged in to four
urban kebeles, but local officials commonly still refer to utilize the former kebele boundaries for
planning and management purpose.
The topography of the town can be characterized as ragged surface, with raised ridges and ridge foot
shoulders showing variable slopes, which forms a promontory of mountains extending southwest
toward Mt. Guna (4,231 m.asl).The altitude of the town varies between 2,440 m.asl and 2,884m.asl.
The main part of the town is located on the hill plateau surrounded by deep gorges of the tributaries
of Reb River to the north and the tributaries of Gumera River to the south.
2.2 Climate
Due to its high altitude (with an average elevation of 2560m.a.s.l), the town experiences high rain
fall and moderate temperature thus it is categorized under Dega climatic zone .the region is
characterized with heavy rainfall in the periods of ‘kiremt’ which runs June through September.
Small rains are also recorded in the months of March and April, which are known locally as belg. The
mean annual precipitation of the project area is estimated as 1590mm (Debre Tabor area feasibility
study by metaferia consulting engineers, December 2010). A pair of values corresponding to rainfall
of the locality and air temperature in general where as additional factors like sunshine hours can
characterize the Climate of an area, humidity, wind speed etc.
BDU, IOTPage 3
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
The absolute maximum temperature usually occurs from March to May, while minimum temperature
occurs from September to December. The mean monthly temperatures range between 14 0c and
18.50c, with the lowest temperature in the rainy summer months. The variation of the temperatures is
minimal, which is typical for that climatic region.
2.3 Geology
The Debre Tabor plateau is promontory of the Duna mount extending to northeast from the mountain.
The area is characterized by the undulating surface nature. The plateau is covered with thin clayey
soil originating from decomposition of the weathered volcanic rocks. Exposed rocks in the area are
predominantly basalt and are from highly weathered and fractured to slightly weathered and
fractured. The geology of Debre tabor area generally is consisting of fractured basalt at the top most
near the mountain areas.
2.4.3 Hydrology
Number of small springs is available in the area ranging in discharge a maximum of 2l/s to a
minimum. The local people use them for different purposes. As the study report, the springs could not
used for future water supply system since difficult and expensive.
As seen from the topographic nature of the area the surface water run-off drains to the north and south
of the town (which are the ground slope falls away rapidly).to the east the Janmeda streams are joined
to river Gumara. The streams situated to the northward of the town to join river Reb.
With the exception of some streams may have small base flow It is the problem that all of the streams
dry-up during the dry seasons. River Reb and Gumara are the only perennial rivers around the area.
BDU, IOTPage 4
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
The current educational coverage of the town is around 80.9%. The total numbers of students
attending schools out of the total population are about 46.79% as seen from the projection of
educational demand.
All institutions with boarding facilities are classified under bourding school classification. These
include community development centers, training centers, and colleges. At the year 2008 there was
one boarding college in Debre Tabor, Debre Tabor Health College with 1,412 pupils of this 1,319 are
students as per the 2008 record.
Health institutions found in Debre tabor town are one hospital with 96 beds, one health center with
10 beds. four health posts, and number of private clinics, organizational clinics, drug vendors’
providing medical service to the residents of the town and the neighboring rural areas.

2.7.3 Prisons
In Debre Tabor town there is one prison located near Weybela Mariam Church with an average of 40
prisoners per day. Assuming this as average number prisoners in the cell, the percentage of
population serving in prisons is estimated to be about 1%.
2.7.4 Religion
In Debre Tabor, there are 7 churches and 1 mosque. In computing the water demand of mosques and
churches, the average number of visitors per day is estimated as a percentage of the total population.
Taking the socio-cultural situation of the town into account, the average daily visitors of churches and
mosques are taken as 2.32 %=( 8+1*5+3)/7 of the total population.

3.1 Population
3.1.1General
Water demand depends on the size of population to be served, the standard of living and activities,
the cost of water supplied and the availability of wastewater service. It varies according to the
requirements of the domestic population, industry, institutional and social establishments, and the
municipal water supplied for the watering of gardens and street cleaning. In addition, demand
allowance needs to be included for leakage, and operational requirements like flushing of mains.

3.2.1 Introduction
The design and execution of any water supply scheme requires an estimate of the total amount of
water required by community. Water demand depends on the size of the population to be served, their
standard of living and activities, the cost of water supply and the availability of west water service .It
varies according to the requirement of the population, industry, livestock farming, institutional and
social establishments, municipal water supplies for the watering of public green area and street
cleaning. In addition to this demands allowances need to be included for leakage, wastage, and
operational requirements such as flushing of mains.
Generally, design of water supply systems requires careful examination of various types of water
demand that the town shall have. The demand is classified in to the following categories: domestic
water need, institutional demand, industrial demand, fire demand and water unaccounted for. These
demands are assessed in detail to get an accurate and total picture of water requirement, which is
applicable to the sizing of water supply facilities: pumping equipment, transmission and distribution
BDU, IOTPage 13

lines, and storage facilities. Estimating water demands for the entire population (i.e., average day,
maximum day, and peak hourly demands) involves consideration of a number of factors such as:
climatic influences, socioeconomic influences, degree of recreational or seasonal uses and historic
water uses for the development or the area.
The Water Supply Service classifies water users based on four type of connection. These are Private
House Connection, Private Organizations Connection, public fountain connection and Governmental
Organization Connection.

DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
3.2.4.1 Per capita domestic Water demand consumption for different purposes
For any mode of service, per capita demand is determined by adding the user’s water requirement for
different purposes. The per capita water demand for various demand categories varies depending on
the size of the town, the level of the development, the type of water supply schemes, the socio-
economic condition of the town and the climatic condition of the area.
It is evident that as people acquire better education and higher living standards, their water
consumption increases. In contrast, traditional source users will decrease.
In deciding the per capita water consumption for various demand categories the design criteria
prepared by MoWR is considered. The values for HTU, YTU and NTU are adopted and for PTU it is
obtained by subtracting the sum of the three from 100.
There is no reliable indicator of the actual demand for water of the households. because the people
interviewed couldn’t identify their water demand for different purpose during the sample survey also
there is periodic nature of supply of water to the town according to socio-economic study due to
shortage of water due to these uncertainties it was found appropriate to use general applicable design

The public demands where usually linked directly to the population. It can be analyzed using the
demand surveys and using these survey data as a base for projection of future demands. Factors such
as number of employees or residents, number of visitor is building floor space, type of activity and
the like determines the institutional and commercial demand. The following table is adopted from
design criteria prepared by MoWR as a guide.

3.3.1Educational demand
about 46.79% of the total population. As per the data from 1994, CSA report the educational
coverage of this 46.79% covers 83.06% of the total school-aged children. Assuming that at the end
of year 2034, 100% of the school-aged population will have accesses to education. As per the 1994
census proportion of the school-aged children to the total population, this is estimated about-
=46.79*100/83.06=56.33%
The intermediate values of the ratio of school-aged children to the total population are estimated by

4. Water supply
4.1 introduction
The existing water supply source of Debre Tabor town is ground water from boreholes drilled around
the town area. However, as current water supply system does not cover the demand of the population
people are forced to use nearby springs, private and communal shallow hand-dug wells to supplement
their additional domestic water demand.
Now days there are more than 16 deep wells in the town while only 11 are in operation with a total
yield of 42.6l/s. the rest boreholes are abandoned due to either being found dry during drilling, long
service time or poor well completion. The wells were developed at different sessions based on

immediate measures and future sustainability to safeguard the community form shortage of potable
water (by metaferia consulting engineers, December 2010).
From different geological investigation result and as the already drilled wells show there is a serious
water supply shortage in the town. Some of the expected reasons are-
The town area stands on the hill plateau creates hydrological conditions that is unfavorable for
ground water recharge of the wells

5.1 General
The water system of the town for the next 20 years is designed in order to satisfy the water
requirements of the town up to the design year2034. The design work has been started by projection
of population and water requirement of the design years. Recent National Population and Housing
Census statistical data and recommended growth rate figures for Amhara Region is used. The design
criteria approved by also applied for peak factor estimation.
The water supply system is designed by considering two-phase design periods as stated previously.

Pressure line is an economical pipe to convey, the MDD over the pumping period, from collection
chamber to service reservoir. The economic diameter of the pressure main is given by the most
practical equation stated as follows and is selected in such a way that the permissible velocity is not
out of range and the required head loss is attained.
For our case, a coefficient of 1.11 is recommended as an average value. The tabulated calculation
value is shown in the following tables.

Collection chambers join the scattered boreholes. The water from Kanat well field is directed to
collection chamber 3(CC-3) located at Debre Tabor Agricultural Bureau and then to CC-1. Similarly
borehole 3, 9and 10 are directed to CC-1 and borehole 7 and 8 to CC-2.

5.4.1 General
Service reservoir stores treated water for supply and emergency purpose like fire, maintenance
system. The reservoir is important
Since we never have reservoir out flow data from Debre Tabor existing water service, we never have
a mechanism to fix the equalizing storage. Instead, the following simple empirical formula is used to
fix the minimum Capacity of reservoir. Of the various shapes, circular tank is the simplest. For the
BDU, IOTPage 38
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
same capacity of storage, it has the advantage that it requires less material for construction than a
rectangular tank. Because of its circular shape, it has no corners and can be made, water- tight easily.
Zone one is designed to be supplied from the reservoir at Segno Gebeya and Zone Tow from bus
terminal. From the Net work analysis result, the average day demand of this zone for first phase is
8.02l/s. Similarly, for zone II in the same phase, the average day demand is 25.38 l/s. The peak hour
demand and the required reservoir sizes for both zones are tabulated as follows.
BDU, IOTPage 39
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
To summarize the table, for zone, one a single reservoir with a capacity of 300m3 is required for first
phase and additional 450m3 for second phase. In case of zone two 800m3 for phase one and
additional 1300m3 capacity service reservoir is required at the proposed location. The diameter and
height of the service reservoir is tabulated in the following table.
It is designed in such away it economically sustainable & accommodate the peak hourly demand over
town cadastre based layout and the pipe line will take the water demand at each node which is
determined based on the density of the population and the type of possible demand category.
Depending on the existing settlement pattern city development plan and topographic suitability and
considering the small extension areas the pipe distribution of the town is designed to be constructed at
once in phase one for both phases. The layout of distribution network is prepared based on:-
BDU, IOTPage 40
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
Similarly, too slow and much swift velocity via the distribution pipe should also be optimized. As per
the MoWR design guide line the allowable pressure & velocity design parameters are as follows (see
appendix).
Pressure - range (10__70) m head for distribution is up to 250 m head for the pump node or
rising mains.
Velocity – ranges (0.6__1.5)m/s for distribution system is (0.0 –1.5) m/s accepted for looped
system-(0.8--2) m/s maximum Permissible for raising main
The network of the town is looped as much as possible for the purpose of simpler operation and to
avoid accumulation of dissolved solids at the dead end. The distribution network is analyzed using
EPANET software and the analysis result at peak demand and night demand is shown in Appendix A.
Among the common hydraulic analysis head loss the most commonly recommended method, Hazen-
Williams equation is used. The overall head estimation for each pipe is left to the software as shown
in the output table in the appendix.
For Hazen-Williams (C-value): for UPVC pipe 130 and for DCI pipe 120 are recommended by
MoWR urban water supply design criteria.
BDU, IOTPage 41
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
However, based on its appropriateness we have recommended using PVC pipes for the distribution
system of our project. The reasons referred are since UPVC Pipes have a number of technical
advantages over the systems:
It is not corroded: - PVC Pipe does not corrode and are very unaffected by Acids, Alkalies and
electrolytic corrosion from any source. In this respect they out class any other pipes material
including stainless steel. In fact PVC is virtually unaffected by water.
It is light in weight easy and quick to install - Pipes mode from PVC are only about 1/5 the weight of
an equivalent cast iron pipe and from 1/3 to ¼ the weight for an equivalent cement pipe. Thus, the
cost of transportation and installation is cut down enormously.
It has an excellent hydraulic characteristic:- PVC Pipes have extremely smooth bore due to which
frictional losses are at minimum and flow rates are at the highest possible from any other pipe
materials. It is non-flammable: - PVC Pipe is self-extinguishing and it does not support combustion.
It is flexible and resistance to breakage: - The flexible nature of PVC Pipes means that asbestos,
cement or cast iron pipes. They are not liable to beam failure and can thus more readily accommodate
axial detraction due to the solid movement or due to settlement of structures to which the pipe is
connected.
It is resistance to biological growth: - Due to smoothness of inner surface of PVC Pipe, it prevents
Algae, Bacteria and Fungi Formation inside the pipe.
Long life: - The established aging factor of the commonly used pipe is not applicable on PVC Pipe. A
100 years safe life estimated for PVC Pipe.
The average day domestic, commercial and institutional demand including the unaccounted water for
water is distributed to the nodes.
a. We have determined the area of each zone with the help of the town development plan
prepared by MS consultancy, Addis Ababa. Implies the area coverage of zone one is 76% of
20000ha and that of zone two is 24% of the total area i.e. area of zone one is 15105ha and
that of zone two is 4895ha from the development map of the town.
BDU, IOTPage 42
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
c. Divide the hourly water demand to each zone by multiplying the population of each zone from
step b with area ratio or area percentage (the public water demand is subtracted before
multiplication from the total water demand).
Estimate the population density of each zone. As some of the group members are from there we know
that almost central part of the town is highly populated and it is estimated as 80%of the zone. 20% of
each zone is sparsely populated.
d. Multiply the percentage from step‘d’ by the total population of each zone obtained from step
’b’. This gives the densely and sparsely populated.
e. Determine the number of junctions in the area (both in densely and sparsely populated area).
f. Divide the maximum hourly demand obtained from step ’c’ by number of junctions in the
covered area.
g. Find ratio of population Obtained from step ‘e’ to population obtained from step ‘b’.
h. Multiply the ratios from step ‘g’ and ‘h’ and this gives the required base demand of each
junction. The values are summarized as the following table.
BDU, IOTPage 43

The data used to fix the pump position is not available. Hence, we have recommended that the pump
should be positioned in order that it should not be suck settled particles in the well. Hence, we have
position the submersible pump at around 40% depth of Borehole.
The Safe operating hour of pumps in hr/day is taken as 20hrs/day since the Boreholes yield is very
low. The detail calculation to determine the power of the stand by generator and the motor of the
pump at BH-1 is as shown below.

The ground elevations and other data required for the design of the pumping station at predetermined
collection chambers are summarized below. A minimum residual head of 5m is assumed to be
maintained at the inlet of each respective collection chambers.
Therefore, the duty point at each pumping station is Q = 11.28L/s and H=98.17 m, 20.04L/S
and104.87m, 33.84L/S and 33.11m respectively.
The number of unit at each station depends on the availability of the pumps, the size, initial
investment costs, the time interval for switching pumps on etc. Three duty pumps are required one at
each pumping station with the recommended duties.

Eventhough the town has a 24 hour electriccity supply it is not to be sure that it is always available.
Hence for better saty and to make the water supply systrm sustanable a Deisel Generater is
recommended in addition to be used when the electric sustem is blocked or gets a shortage.
The power required to start pump can be assumed twice the amount required for normal operation.
Sufficient power must be available.

It has to be provided with pipeline at interval not more than 1.5km, so divide the line into different
sections during repairs only one section can be cut off a time by closing the gate at both ends of the
section.
Valves in pipeline include:
i. Sluice valve: are used to control the flow of water through pipes and used to facilitate the
repair work in any portion of the distribution system.
ii. Pressure relief valve: Pipeline is design max permissible pressure. If the pressure increases
beyond the limit there would be a danger of getting the pipe burst and lose of water through
leakage. Therefore, in our case some nodes have maximum pressure of 70 to 75m; so the limit
there would be a danger of getting the pipe burst and lose of water through pressure relief
valve are recommended at the place where pressure exceeds the maximum permissible
pressure (70m).
iii. Air relief valve: In long pipelines, air will accumulate in high point of the line and will
interfere with the flow. By this valves air is allowed to escape to atmosphere. As air fills the
float chamber, the opening is cleared, and air escapes until the rising water again lifts the
float.
iv. Reflux valve or check valve: used to prevent water back flow in the opposite direction. Reflux
Valves advised to be placed for pipes with length of 500m and above and for the lower length
as per the pressure.

Chapter 8
The progressive water supply design for Debre Tabor town is as shown in the previous chapters. In
chapter three, we have project the population of the town up to the design year 2034. Using this
projected population, we have estimate the water demand of the town for the similar year of design.
As discussed in chapter 5 using the estimated water demand, we have decided the different water
supply components. The network analysis is carried out using those decided input data’s and the
result is shown in appendix A below.
Peak and minimum pressure and velocity at mid nigh hour sampled from the result table are tabulated
as follows.

8.2 Discussion
As seen from the Network Analysis result tables the pressure and velocity in the system leis within
the standard range. We deeply analyzed the pressure distribution in the system especially at mid night
because it is a minimum demand time and the water is stagnant (static condition) at this time. This
stagnation will result higher pressure in the system and the system has to be safe with pressure and
velocity standard.
The maximum pressure observed from the result is 70m and minimum pressure of 9.36m. The
pressure distribution in the system is mainly depending on elevation difference with the service
reservoir. Leaving the other factors as the elevation difference between the service reservoir and the
water point or node increases, the pressure also increases and vice versa. However, other constraint
such as pipe size, curves and fittings, velocity has also great influence on pressure.
Smaller pipes has higher resistance to flow which has an influence on pressure in the pipe itself and
on the over the entire system. Considering such problems in one side and the economic cost in the
other side, we have adjusted the pipe size of the distribution system with maximum 250mm near the
reservoir and minimum 50mm.
Pipe size also has a great influence on pipe velocity with indirect relation i.e. as pipe size increase the
velocity will decrease in opposite for pressure. Pressure will start to drop off when velocity reaches
around the desired maximum limit Water hammer (surge), due to fast valve
Operation or power failure also requires maximum velocity limit to reduce any structural damage.
Minimum velocity is desirable in order to prevent fine material (such
as soil particle) sedimentation, which chokes pipes eventually. For instance, we have adjusted the
velocity range with an acceptable design range and are recorded as 0.01m/s minimum and 1.98m/s
maximum result while the recommended range is 0.01m/s to 2m/s.
We have used such dependency factors to adjust the pressure and velocity to the acceptable range in
the system especially by increasing or decreasing the size of feed pipe.
Since other different factors such as heating, a pressure regulator shall be used since it ensures that
the pressure coming from the supply system is reduced to a safe pressure. So it is recommended to
place the pressure regulator valve at the entrance to the building.

Chapter 9
The projected population for the first phase (2020) and second phase (2034) of the design year is
70096 and 106638 respectively. The maximum design flow rates 74.35l/s and 166.77l/s respectively.
In the design of the water system for the town, two pressure zones are delineated in the project area.
The pressure zoning is required to limit the excessive pressure through pipes so that the proposed
pipes can withstand the stress developed. These zones will be supplied through reservoirs to be
constructed at specified places. The project is also divide into two phases (phase one and phase two)
in order to help in budget allocation for implementation and simplicity of analysis.
We have analyzed the network of the distribution system using EPANET software. Pipe type
selection, pressure and velocity ranges are adjusted using standards from MoWR urban water supply
criteria. Nodal and water point water demands are estimated based on the population density of the
town and area coverage.
The required for phase one of the project is supplied from 11 Ground water sources around the Area.
Those Boreholes has a minimum of 1.5l/s to a maximum of 6l/s, which yield with good quality as per
the feasibility report of Debre Tabor area by Metaferia consulting engineers. While as the water
source of the town from ground water source is very low as can be seen from the exis0ting Borehole
conditions. For instance surface water source is proposed for the second phase and future water
source from a possible surface source as River Rib (the largest perennial river in the area).
The pumping unit is designed to serve for 20 hours. The power required for each pumping station is
estimated for first phase.
9.2 recommendations
We have conclude our project by projecting the population, estimating the water demand, analyzing
the distribution system with EPANET software and sizing the reservoir and fixing the its location. As
per the available data, we have tried to execute the required water supply components of the town.
BDU, IOTPage 57
DEBRE TABOR TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT
We have been interested and tried in designing the remaining components of the system (rising main,
collection pipes and collection chamber, pump and power source estimation). However, the inter
dependency of such components on the submersible pump position, which depends on the drawdown
condition of the aquifer, it was difficult to randomly assign the pump position and proceed the design
of such components. because we have no any indicative data about the aquifer drawdown condition or
other important data that helps in fixing submersible pump position and for instance we have dilled
on the distribution system design and reservoir sizing.
There should be a regulation kept for source protection as water pollution as well as
safe yield is affected by the local society and result in system inefficiencies as well as
economic crisis
