SATI QUITS HER BODY Sati quits her body is based of The Bhagavata Purana (Sanskrit: भागवतपुराण; IAST: Bhāgavata Purāṇa), also known as the Srimad Bhagavatam, is the story of Sati Devi, the daughter of Prajapati Daksa. The Beginning of the story is sati father make her full of disappointment because had cursed her husband Lord Siwa. Then Sati devi heard about the sacrificial ceremony that held by her father Prajapati Daksa, called “Brihas Patisawa”. Sati asked her husband to accompany her to join the event, but Lord Siwa didn’t want to, because he realized that their presence will insult Prajapati Daksa, later on Sati opposed her husband's advice, so she came to her father's house accompanied by Nandini. Then eventually Sati felt dejected by her father words. her father was so arrogant by insulting lord Siwa who was very holy. Prajapati Daksa said that Lord Siwa was dressed like a crazy man, has eyes like a monkey and naked like a madman. For anyone who insults another soul, “It’s the lowest creature in this world said Sati”. Then Sati let go of his body because of regret born of an arrogant father, and show that’s Sati devi prove her love to lord Shiva by that action. After the sacrifice of Parwati later on Lord Siwa came and cut Sati’s body into 52 pieces which her body will be placed in the holy places. Along with the prayer of Lord Siwa, King Himalaya and his wife Queen Mena are having a great prayer in the ceremony that they wish for such having a beautiful, loyal, and kind hearted daughter like Sati Dewi.Sati is reincarnated beautifully as Goddess Parwati the daughter of King Himalaya and Queen Mena. Parwati and Lord Siwa finally meet each other in a form of different body, yet the soul remains the same. In circumstance of pain Lord Siwa maintain his patience waiting for Parwati. After Lord Siwa and Parwati are married they go back to mount Kailash and build their abode, ever since then Lord Siwa and Parwati and live happily ever after. . Drama screenwriter : Dr. Ni Ketut Dewi Yulianti, S.S.,M.Hum. Dance arranger : Dr. IGN Sudibya Music arranger : Ketut Sumerjana, S.Sn., M.Sn. Opinion : thats was a good performance to introduce Balinese culture because I am not a Balinese-hindu and also there’s a good point of value i can learn from the story. Drama stage actors and actresses : - Mutiara Dewi as Sati Dewi - Ananda Krisna as Lord Siwa - Dwi Juliani as Parwati - Yogi Haris as Prajapati Daksa - Tisnadana as Lord Brahma - Manik Setiawati as Queen Mena - Kresna as King Himalaya - Diah Nanta as Nandini. Characters : 1. Sati Dewi, Lord Siwa 2. Parwati 3. Prajapati Daks 4. Lord Brahma 5. Queen Mena 6. King 7. Himalaya 8. Nandini. Moral value : - The story of a true love of Sati Devi and Lord shiva is eternal and goes by each other sacrifice. - Prajapati Daksa arrogance make her daughter felt sad and disappointed by her father harsh words. by that’s action we can take a conclusions if your mouth only said negative words you should keep it yourself so that’s will not hurts anyody.
