Key Concepts

 Electricity refers to the movement of electrons. Electrons create

charge which we can harness to do work.

Three Quantities involved in Electricity

Current the rate at which electric charge flows past a point in a
circuit
Voltage the electrical force that would drive an electric current
between two points
Resistance material's tendency to resist the flow of charge.

Voltage and current are directly proportional. This means that the greater the
voltage the greater is the current and vice versa.

Consider this illustration,

a 20-Volt battery has greater
force than a 10 V battery.
Therefore, a 20-V battery
would result to a greater
current.
Current is inversely
proportional to resistance.
That is when the greater the
resistance, the lesser is the
current. The lesser the
resistance, the greater the
current.

In Summary,

“Current is directly proportional to voltage and inversely proportional to

resistance.” – Ohm’s Law by Georg Simon Ohm
