    Writing an opinion essay

    “Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies,” wrote Aristotle.Years have


    passed, centuries have passed since Aristotle wrote this saying and one thing is
    1 certain: For Aristotle friendship has been important and it has remained the same
    today.In my opinion, friendship is one of the greatest bonds anyone can ever wish
    for. Lucky are those who have friends they can trust.
    Firstly, friends can give us the courage to pursue our goals. For instance, they can
    help us have the confidence and self-belief to achieve our ambitions. That way we
    2 feel stronger and encouraged.
    In addition, friendship reduces the risk of suffering from loneliness. For example,
    when people are surrounded by friends, they will always feel like they belong to a
    3 group. This means that they will have people to share their experiences with.
    On the other hand, some friends may encourage reckless behaviour. For example,
    4 they can use peer pressure to make you do things you shouldn’t. As a result, you
    could get into trouble.
    All in all, I feel that friends are very important in our lives. True friends are always
    there when you need them. True friendship is what gives us reason to stay strong in
    life. Having a loving family and all is okay but you also need true friendship to be
    5 completely happy. Some people don’t even have families but they have friends
    who’re like their family only. Lasting friendship is a blessing for everybody and a
    true friend is one of the most precious possessions that one can have in his life.
