The learner demonstration on how to form light and sound which are form an energy that behave in
predictable ways.
Performance Standard:
The learners perform an activity an activity to learn on how light travel and how the object produce
sound.

ENGAGEMENT:
A first look sound or exploring sound and formative assessment.
EXPLORATION:
2 day of sound experiment to explore pitch, vibrations and how sound travels through different
mediums (class activity on 2 rotating through 4 experiments on day 3)
EXPLANATION:
From 5th grade text, read chapter 8 page 271-279 in textbook. Students will explore one of the three
sounds activities and be able to present an explanation of how sound works to the class.
ELABORATION:
Student will explore one of the three sound activities and be able to present an explanation of how
sound works to the class. Students will present the group project to the class. With a working example
while teacher uses a subric to assess student learning.
EVALUATION:
A teacher created short cycle assessment will be administered at the end unit to assess all clear
learning targets. Possible formative assessment options from unit, exploring sound quiz, group
project, lab worksheet for the activity

Performance Standard:
The learners having an activity on how the plant produce their own food through the help of
the sun.

ENGAGEMENT:
The pupils explore their knowledge on how the plants, make its own food through the help
of photosynthesis.
EXPLORATION:
To explore you may use of a sample of a Plant A and Plant B. One inside the room and one
outside the room. Observe for 5 days what happen.
EXPLANATION:
The plant makes its own food through the help of the sun. the plant cooks its own food in
the leaves. The plants given off oxygen and the animals and man given of carbon dioxide for
the plants there is a give and take relationship.
ELABORATION:
The pupils having an activity to present their explanation why plant inside the room die and
the plant outside is still growing and healthy. The teacher will assess them if their
understand the lesson or not through the use of suberic.
EVALUATION:
The pupils answer the questions on experiments notebook to know if their understand the
lesson properly.

The students will explore by doing an activity that will present an explanation on how he/she
use his force and on how the object will pull or push.

The students will be having a group activity and able to present an explanation of the leader.
