Analysis of Strengths
Anglicare being an organization of social welfare in Western Australia means they have a
number of strengths due to their specialization in service delivery to all individuals regardless of
age. Some of these services include foster care, community development, housing, employment,
and family based relationship services. Its strengths lie within these services they offer. These
services include aged care, youth services, disaster services, and disability services etc. The work
of Anglicare Australia is considered non-discriminatory making it a complete inclusive
organization. comprehension and structure of its services and organization are also among its
strengths. Working in a community providing care without discrimination places it at the
forefront and is accepted by all since they spread the message of care. Anglicare being a social
organization eliminates the factor of competition from other agencies across Australia.
Anglicare programs help individuals get to their feet and reducing social problems and stigmas,
which is what the society needs for its development.
Analysis of Weaknesses
Weaknesses of Anglicare Australia are from some of its key aspects such as its volunteers
and operations shops. If they do not focus on improving these aspects, they could be at the verge
of being overshadowed by other social welfare organizations. Another weakness of Anglicare
Australia is the fact that they do not have specific programs for women and children who have
faced abuse. This social welfare organization is present in developed countries, which means
they have not expanded its services to under-developed and developing countries where their
services are required most.

Analysis of Opportunities
Since Anglicare has not developed programs that cover women and children that have
faced abuse, they have an opportunity to design these programs that will be beneficial to victims
of abuse. Their absence in developing in developing and under-developed regions also presents
them an opportunity for them to extend its services to those regions. Most services offered by
Anglicare are most needed in developing and under-developed regions which presents an
opportunity for this organization. Some regions do not have programs for the disabled and
unemployed, which are services offered by Anglicare presenting them an opportunity to provide
these services in these regions.
Analysis of Threats
Anglicare could be faced by threats from aspects such as lack of funding and access to
volunteers who are core to running the operations of the organization. Anglicare is a social
welfare organization hence the threat of competition from similar organizations is not
considerable. Access to skilled staff is also a problem. Providing best services is what Anglicare
have to do for them to create a better reputation which can be done by skilled staff who are able
to provide collaborate and patient-centered care for to clients.
Recommendations
From the SWOT analysis of Anglicare, some recommendation for the organization include;
Expand its services to developing and under-developed nations where its services could
be needed most. Anglicare has also not considered providing services to children and women
who are victims of abuse, where it is recommendation that they consider offering these services
that will make them a total inclusive social welfare organization in the face of the community. It
is also a recommendation that they design programs for the disabled and unemployed in some
regions where these services are not available that will eliminate aspects of social stigma among
individuals that will in turn spread its message of care more. It is also recommended that
Anglicare employs skilled staff that have the capabilities to deal with clients this organization
deals with. Funding and volunteers is what this organization needs most, which is why they
should focus on creating better relations with the government and community for them to acquire
these resources.
