    MAKING A PRESENTATION – PROJECT FOR UPPER- INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

    Dear students,

    Please follow these tips to have a successful presentation

    Details

    Aim – To practice language for presentation/ sequencing and speaking skills

    Organization - Individual or in pairs. Please choose your partner within December 23rd 2016

    Deadline – February 20th 2017. Presentations are going to be made after that date.

    Equipment - You might want to use a projector or any other equipment. Please let me know.

    Duration- Your presentation should not be too long. At least 3-5 slides. You will have 2-4 minutes
    to present it.

    1. Global issues ( environment/ unemployment/ famine/ poverty etc)


    2. Social media ( digital dirt/online footprint)
    3. Media and its influence on our lives
    4. Volunteering
    5. The future of entertainment/ transportation/ shopping etc

    Presentation parts

    1. Introduction – introduce what you will be presenting, let the audience know there will be time
    for questions at the end
    2. Overview – give a general outline of your presentation
    3. State Points – give your points in logical sequence, giving explanations and exceptions. Make a
    clear transition between each point.
    4. State results and conclusions
    5. Summarize
    6. Close – relate the beginning of the presentation to the end
    7. Questions – ask the audience if they have any questions
