Present simple
Present simple: Affirmative

We form the present simple with the infinitive of the verb:


"Formamos el presente simple con el infinitivo del ver verbo"

Subject + infinitive Subject + infinitive + s/es

Rules for the 3rd person singular
(Reglas para la 3° persona del singular)

In general: infinitive + s I read he reads


I play he plays
Verbs ending in – y
I study he studies
I go he goes
I watch he watches

I wash he washes
I fix he fixes
Present simple: Negative

For the negative form:

subject+ auxiliary ( do/ does) + not +infinitive

We don’t eat It doesn’t sleep
(Nosotros no comemos) (Ese no duerme)
