BASIC ARMOR INFORMATION

● Tenebrous armor is character specific.


● Armor is bankshareable.
● Tenebrous armor does not have a set effect. It comes with a special Shadow
Effect.
● Armor can be sealed once.
● The armor has 3 lines of additional effects that can be rerolled with Blessed
Time and Space Scrolls.

Individual Effects
"Buff" effects do not stack with similar effects from Elrianode Equipment or Amethystine Prophecy Equipment.

HOW TO OBTAIN
The first 2 times you clear 17-1 and 2 every day per character, you will get a Tenebrous armor drop from the boss. When you
get a drop, it can be for any character. The armor drops sealed.

Tenebrous armor can be crafted through the NPC Betty in Magmelia Town using 5 Tenebrous Pieces.

Tenebrous Piece
Tenebrous pieces can be obtained by
2. dismantling Tenebrous armor. You get 1
Tenebrous Piece when you dismantle
Tenebrous armor. The pieces can also drop
very rarely from 17-X bosses.

3. Tenebrous armor can also be bought off the board from other players.

TENEBROUS REFORGE
Reforging Tenebrous armor is exactly the same as reforging
Rigomor armor.

There are 21 reforge levels. Every time you click the reforge
button, you will need either Tasma aura or Tenebrous aura,
magical crystals and raw ED.
Tenebrous Aura
(similar to Spectral Amethyst)
Can be obtained mainly from the “[Tirnog]
Shadow Aura” quest. This is a daily quest that is
per account. You get 200 aura from this quest.
The quest requires you to clear 5 17-X dungeons.
Tenebrous Aura can drop from 17-x dungeons,
but the drop rate is insanely low.

Tasma Aura
(similar to Glaciem)
Drops from Tirnog dungeons. You can also buy
this item off the board from other players.

When you click reforge, there is a certain chance that the armor
will go up a reforge level. If it doesn’t, your pity bar will fill up by
a certain amount. When your pity bar reaches 100%, your next
click will ensure you go up to the next reforge level.

Similar to Rigomor armor, Tenebrous armor has “reforge


durability”. Every piece starts at 100% durability. Every time you
click reforge, your armor will lose 1% durability. To restore
durability, you need to use a Chlorite Seed.
Chlorite Seed (5%)
Restores 5% reforge durability. Almost never drops from 13-X and 17-X dungeons.

Blessed Chlorite Seed (10%)


Restores 10% reforge durability. Can only be obtained by spending 100 k-ching to buy it from the Item Mall. You can
also buy it off the board from other players or from a k-ching seller.

Reforge Effects

Stage 3 Critical Damage +3%

Stage 6 Specific Skill Damage Increase 5%*

Stage 9 Critical Damage +3%

Stage 12 Specific Skill Damage Increase 5%*

Stage 15 Physical/Magic Attack Damage +2%

Stage 18 Specific Skill Damage Increase 5%*

Stage 21 Adaptation +2% (Maximum 45%)


*When you reach these stages, you can use ED, magical crystals and either Tenebrous Aura or Tasma Aura to choose the skill you
want. You can always change the skill.

REFORGE TRANSFER
● Go to Vasili in Magmelia village to reforge transfer.
● Rigomor armor needs to be reforge stage 18 or higher and
transferring can only be done with the same armor parts.
● Once transferred, reforge level decreases by 6 stages.
● Reforge stage and reforge gauge of the Rigomor armor used
for the transfer is reset
● Enhancement level of Rigomor armor used for the transfer
does not reset or transfer.
● Reforge gauge of Tenebrous armor after the transfer is reset
and the armor becomes unsealable.

Uses Tenebrous Aura, Tasma Aura, magical crystals and ED. Uses Reforge stage transfer ticket(s), magical crystals and ED.
Amount of materials used becomes higher with higher reforge
stage.

SHADOW EFFECTS
Shadow Effect can be identified by using a Shadow Effect Identification Scroll. Shadow Effect come with 3 lines of effects (◆, ◆◆,
◆◆◆) when identified. Each line has different effects. Shadow Effects cannot be re-identified. Effects can be extracted, stored and
applied using the Effect Storage Box.

Can be obtained as a 17-X boss drop, can be crafted through Betty with 50 Tenebrous Auras, can be bought from the
Item Mall for 160 k-ching. The scroll you craft through Betty is not tradeable.

RECOMMENDED SHADOW EFFECTS FOR DPS


DISCLAIMER: These are the recommendations based on our current knowledge of the gear and effects and based on the
current Elsword meta. These may change in the future. It is recommended that you aim for max values for the recommended
stats. The stat/values don’t matter as much for the 2 star bottom piece effects.

○ This is functionally a delayed power amplification.

● Polarize: Damage Dealt/Received Increase +n% (Max 45%) (Dungeon)
○ If you are having trouble reaching the polarize cap, this can be an option as well.
○ 1% / 2% / 3% / 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10%
● Adaptation +n% (Max 45%) (Dungeon)
○ Adaptation could be a stat worth investing in in the future if we get- for example, IB
accessories that are worth freeing up adaptation accessories for. Currently it is generally not
recommended however.
○ 0.5% / 1% / 1.5% / 2% / 2.5% / 3% / 3.5% / 4% / 4.5% / 5%

*These are stats you’d want preferably, but because all the effects for the bottom piece are defensive, unless
you are omega whale it’s not worth rerolling generally.

○ If you don’t need anything mentioned previously, you can take this. It will free up slots for
boss damage.

● When attacking enemies with less than n% HP, damage is increased by n% (HP condition and
damage increase increases when applying the same effects)
○ If you are going for this effect, you want it on all your armor pieces.
○ 2% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 18% / 20%
○ 0.2% / 0.4% / 0.6% / 0.8% / 1% / 1.2% / 1.4% / 1.6% / 1.8% / 2%
● When the sum of all Elemental Resistance exceeds 1000, All Skill Damage is increased by n%

EFFECT STORAGE BOX


Through Magmelia Town’s Vasili NPC, Shadow Effects can be
extracted then stored or applied to Tenebrous armor.

Effect Storage Box has 3 slots each for Top / Bottom / Gloves /
Shoes. They can be expanded up to a maximum of 6 slots. Each slot
costs 2M ED.
1 Shadow Effect line from the 3 identified Shadow Effect lines can be extracted. Tenebrous armor with +9 or higher enhancement or
Reforge stage 12 or higher cannot be chosen for Shadow Effect extraction. Only the effect is extracted then stored. The effect’s
rates are not stored. The armor is deleted after the effect is extracted and cannot be restored.
You can increase the chance of extracting an effect you want up to
50% and decrease the chance of extracting an effect you don’t
want down to 0%. Depending on how you move the %s, the amount
of material you need to extract can either increase or decrease.

Stored Shadow Effects can be applied to Tenebrous Armor. Rates are applied as the effect is applied to the armor. The rate is RNG.
Effect in the storage box is deleted. Apply can only be attempted on the same line as the effect that is stored.
General Flowchart for building Tenebrous Armor
● You want to continue working on your Rigomor armor while working on Tenebrous Armor. Tenebrous aura is heavily time
locked and it’s probably better to try to get as much reforging as you can get done on your Rigomor armor. Tenebrous Armor
is also heavily RNG, timelocked and paywall locked, so it takes awhile to get something better than Rigomor armor.
● Do your daily Tenebrous Aura quest and at least 2 runs of 17-1 and 17-2 each daily for your daily Tenebrous armor pieces.
● When you get Tenebrous armor pieces, you can either sell them or you can either buy a scroll, use one you got as a drop, or
craft one with Tenebrous Auras to identify the Shadow effect for that piece.
● For the first top, bottom, gloves and shoes piece you get for your character that has at least one effect with max value, keep
it. This is the piece you will apply effects to.
● If you get any more pieces that have a good effect + max value, it’s probably in your best interest to sell it. When you extract,
there is no guarantee you will extract the effect you want, and then when you apply, the value will be rerolled.
● For other pieces you get that have a good effect, (but does not have the max value), you can use your Tenebrous Aura and
other materials to try to extract the effect. If you manage to extract the right effect, you can try applying it and seeing if you get
the max value.
● If you identify an armor piece that has no good effects, you can either try selling it (though I’m not sure why someone would
buy it) or dismantle it for Tenebrous pieces.
● You also need to work on enhancing your Tenebrous Armor.
● After you manage to enhance your Tenebrous armor and get the right effects + max values for your pieces, transfer your
Rigomor armor’s reforge level to the new armor.
● Finish reforging your Tenebrous armor to r21.
● You can also try rerolling the additional effects for at least 1 line of All Skill Damage.
