    PERMA E-622

    FOR WELDING ALL TYPES OF STEEL

    High alloy nickel based, universal electrode for joining and over laying particularly thick
    parts. Deposits of this alloy offer the best combination of mechanical properties possible
    ; joints made with PERMA E-622 will withstand the most demanding conditions.

    Main advantages
    Deposit of PERMA E-622 offers the utmost in mechanical resistance :
    Excellent crack resistance under heat
    Very high elongation
    Remarkable toughness
    x-ray quality
    preheating is unnecessary in most cases
    the deposit of PERMA E-622 resists to temperatures as low -200°C and as high as 1400°C
    no carbon diffusion into the weld metal even at high temperatures

    PERMA E-622 is the electrode which succeeds where all others have failed.

    Excellent weldability in all positions
    Minimal dilution with base metal
    Tensile strength 700 – 750 Mpa (101.000 - 109.000 psi )
    Yield strength 450 – 490 Mpa ( 65.000 - 71.000 psi )
    Elongation (l = 5d) about 45%
    Impact resistance (charpy V) 20 - 150 joules
    Hardness before work hardening BHN about 200
    Hardness after work hardening BHN about 400
    Weld metal composition : C – Si – Mn – Ni – Cr – Mo – Fe - Nb

    Principale uses
    Joining and overlaying exeptionally thick pats in all types of Hard - to weld steels and unidentifiable steels, Welding
    heat resistant refractory stainless steels, Welding parts subjected to very low temperatures, such as those used in
    production, storage and transportation of liquified gases.

    Typical applications
    Craking and pitting on Earth moving machines buckets, bogies, civil engineering, cement plant kiln rings
    and trunnions, front plates of ball mills and rollers, hammer and fan shafts, repairing and maintenance workshops,
    tanks, containers, piping, heat exchangers for chemical and nuclear industries
