Securing European Union (EU) funding and grants can be quite challenging. The rules of participation, consortium development and reporting are ever changing. Funding schemes, opportunities and information on CallFor-proposals are numerous. EU funded project participation is quite demanding but the financial returns for your project ideas is high. Securing and Managing International funding for your proposal requires a special skills. This workshop will open your eyes to the huge opportunities you are missing. EU project experts and experienced project managers will provide their advice and tips on how you can use the numerous funding opportunities to the best of their advantage.

Course Overview

What you will learn

This is a 1-day high impact and a Goldmine workshop that will improve your access to European finance and funding. It equips participants with the necessary skills to analyses the EU funding opportunities for Africa. It identifies the best options for the different organisations, where Private and public sector should look, where local government should concentrate, where NGOs should focus their mind, where universities should look, what is the best option for large organisations, SMEs, individuals, etc. Participants will also walk through the various application processes and procedures of the different funding schemes. A critical look at the financial issues, audits, cost allocation, etc., provides additional insight on how to make the most out of EU project proposal development and participation.

This workshop will be very useful for participants from industries, members of Chambers of Commerce, MinistriesDepartment-Agencies (MDAs) , Parastatals, Local Government, State Governments, Academic organisations, NGOs, Public Sector consultants and individuals wishing to access international funding. Workshop Facilitators
This workshop will be led by Leonardo Piccinetti. Mr Piccinetti is an experienced EU funding professional. He has strong experience in providing practical advice and training courses on FP7. Leonardo has also academic experience (lecturer in University of Milan, Trieste, Naples, Aquila, Exeter, Bologna, Brussels, Bruges, Maastricht EIPA ) with special interests in Lisbon Strategy, Innovation, and Governance with more twenty publications. He is the President of European Project Association (EPA), Belgium , member European Community Project Managers Association (ECPMA) UK, acting as Expert Evaluator of proposals on EU-FP7 (International Cooperation DG RTD) , CIP , LLL, INTERREG , European Commission. He is an expert on EUfunded Support to Research and Technological Development, and Innovation Initiatives and Strategies (SRTD) Project in Jordan. He leads on FP7 capacity building with NCP system in PEOPLE and Environment.
