INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL

SCHOOL
Medicine is a combined system of scientific knowledge, technology, and practical
application, with the aim of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disease, as well as
working to enhance, and maintain productivity and quality of life. The importance of
medicine requires skilled professionals, who are always ready to assume the
responsibility of maintaining the well-being of others.

International Medical School offers Medical Doctor and Dentistry programs to Georgian
and International students.

The one-step, medical degree course follows the standards set by the World Federation
for Medical Education. Alte University, and its international school of Medicine, is a
member of both the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education
(ENQA) and the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).

The course is taught in English.

After the course completion, degree holders can continue their study for a Doctorate, or
apply for a Residency course, or a residency course equivalent in accordance with laws
of their counties, and after completing a standardized unified state examination can begin
to pursue their own medical practice.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Alte University unites more than 2,100 students from 13 countries. The world federation for
medical education (WFME) has recognized the Alte University medical program, which is also a
member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the
European Medical Education Association (AMEE). The program is recognized and approved by
the Medical Council of India (MCI).

It is noteworthy that a memorandum of understanding has been signed between Alte University
and the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and research, which aims to: exchange programs
for medical school students and academic staff, create joint programs in IT and data sciences,
facilitate the internship of medical school students in leading medical institutions of Georgia and
India and organize joint conferences, seminars, and workshops.
At Alte University international school of medicine, international students have the opportunity
to study in the field of dentistry and medicine, where they will gain practical experience along
with theoretical knowledge. The duration of the medical program is 6 years and the annual fee is
5,000 dollars, while the duration of the dental program is five years, the annual fee is 4,500
dollars.

In order for an international student to be able to study at Alte University International School of
Medicine, it is necessary to:

Stage 1: Application Form

The international student must fill out the application form and submit the following documents

Stage 2: Required Documents

• Alte University international student application form


• a Copy of the passport photo page
• Copy of complete general education certificate or its equivalent and its
supplement/transcript of academic record issued by a foreign educational institution
After all required documents are submitted and considered, the university issues
a conditional admission letter.

Stage 3: – Interview

Alte University will invite applicants for an online or face-to-face interview. The video will be
recorded for future reference.
The successful candidate will pay the application fee of 80$ (includes: translation, notarization,
and the application fee for the national center for quality education enhancement) via bank to the
university’s official bank account.

Stage 4: – Recognition of foreign education

Alte admissions office translates documents into Georgian, notarizes, and submits an application
to “Legal Entity of Public law (LEPL) - national center for educational quality enhancement", for
official recognition of foreign education. The feedback process lasts at least one month.
NB: If the application is submitted by another person, a document certifying their power of
attorney.

Stage 5: – Enrolment

After the recognition procedures are completed, the ministry of education issues an official
decision on granting enrolment rights to an applicant for an educational program.
The university president signs a decision on a student’s final enrolment to an appropriate faculty
and specialty.

Stage 6: – Paying Tuition Fees

The successful applicant will have to pay at least half of the yearly tuition fee via bank to Alte’s
bank account in order to receive an enrolment letter.
