    water ? Illustrates the consequences if :

    equipment :
    (i) Cooling Ponds
    (ii) Spray Ponds
    (f) Classify various types of water pollutants.
    (g) Discuss the role played an individual in
    Protecting the Environment.

    3. Attempt any four of the following parts : 10 each


    (a) Thermal Power Plant are deemed Essential for
    generation of Electricity but they also produce
    harmful gases for man and his environment.
    Elucidate in term of transmission and its control
    measures.

    (b) Enlist and explain various acts related to


    Environment Protection.

    (c) Describe the threat to biodiversity; value of


    biodiversity and various methods used in
    conservation of biodiversity.

    (d) List causes, effect and control measures for :

    (i) Radioactive Pollution

    (ii) Noise Pollution

    (iii) Marine Pollution

    (e) Define soil erosion. Explain water-induced and


    wind-induced soil erosion with suitable diagram.

    (f) MSW is generated within community from


    several sources, not just the household. Classify
    the solid waste based on sources grid types.
    Discuss the factors that contribute to variation in
    composition of solid waste.
