STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
There is no limit to the wonders that science and technology brings before us. To obtain this
diverse knowledge from every parts of the world is my main aim in life. Here I would like to
express my views and rationale behind my motto to apply for the Masters program with the goal
that I cherish in my mind.
During my education in school life and during my study at undergraduate level, I have
maintained a consistent and good academic record. Coming to extra-curricular activities I have
always participated in diverse activities from cricket to different indoor and outdoor competition.
There are various reasons which inspire me to pursue my Master’s in Australia. First and the
foremost reason are: Australia is one of the best countries and is a growing education provider in
the world, this would not only help me obtain a better education but I can also flourish my skills.
The next reason is its internationally recognized degree, and the third reason is that Australia has
ranked universities with fascinating natural environment. Fourth reason is its diversified and
multicultural society that would help me develop my education level by obtaining and sharing
opinions, view and ideas with students from all over the world. Fifth reason is after completing
my master in Australia I can easily grab a job in my country due to the international recognized
degree. And the final reason, Australian education has a strong international reputation for
excellence with one of the best education system across the globe.
Pursuing my study at your esteemed university would provide me the kind of exposure needed to
broaden my thinking. University of Technology Sydney has a confluence of people from every
culture, nationality, religion, race and ideology. I am sure that my exposure to these kinds of
diverse influences would aid in the overall development of my personality and help me broaden
my concept form the narrower confines of nationalism to internationalism. I'll try to bring the
best out of my Institute in terms of academic excellence. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing
my dream come true.
My Engineering degree has given a strong foundation to my analytical skills in computer

engineering which involves a lot of long, complex and intricate calculations and the application
skills. Quest for knowledge needs considerable persistence and an unquenchable desire to learn.
Whatever I have achieved till now can be attributed to my diligence and perseverance, which I
have learned from my close knit family and culture. With the same indefatigable spirit, I am
ready to utilize and direct all my physical and mental abilities to achieve the same in my future
studies.
During my undergraduate years I have already achieved the Microsoft Office Specialist [MOS]
and Microsoft Technical Assistant [MTA] Certifications. I have also been able to participate in
‘Aspiration 2020’ during the year 2012-2013 in the coding event that was conducted by Infosys.
I have successfully also completed Advanced Software Foundation Course conducted by IBM.
Apart from this I have also undergone the Foundation level Program form Infosys.
Business Intelligence, Project Management & Data Analytics are the hottest thing going round in
the Indian business technology space. My career goals in the short term and long term does take
me in that path in terms of my aspiration. This program would not only give me knowledge and
develop my skills but also bring out the businessman’s vision that would help me build and grow
in my life.
I would wish to work for any technology consulting firm – case in point IBM-Cognos helping
clients (companies) improve their business performance and financial predictability. I would
wish to help customers implement business intelligence and decision support systems, balanced
scorecard and strategy management systems, enterprise planning systems, and financial close &
consolidation systems. In this regard I would be privileged to work with the Finance, Strategy
and IT teams of the largest of Indian businesses and learn alongside them in this journey that I
have set for myself.
Over time, now that I am completing my undergraduate degree in Engineering - I have felt that a
formal education in Management Information System, alongside interaction with senior industry
professionals, as part of peer learning groups, will definitely deepen my business perspective.
Project Management, being a common thread across every kind of business and function, I can
exchange notes with my diverse peers from other functional areas and industries to broaden my
knowledge and also contribute to the overall learning. The rigorous curriculum and the
intellectual challenge of this program can serve as the right touchstone to test my experiences
against.
Having made this statement of my objectives it is my belief that what your university looks for,
in a prospective student, is a strong academic background and the will to perform and deliver. An
extremely distinguished faculty, a milieu replete with academic activity and the state of the art
research facilities in the field of Information Management are the most important factors, which
motivated me to choose your university.
An Awakening is only required to bring out the knowledge in human minds. Since I strongly
believe that your university would be an ideal place for me to pursue my further studies, I wish to
canalize my knowledge and make my life significant by joining your university.
