EXT. WUBB CLUB - DAY

PUSH-IN on the Wubb Club.

WALDEN (V.O.)
“And the Hopping Dipple-Dop sat.
He sat on his mat. He sat with his
cat on his lap, on his mat...”

INT. WUBB CLUB - CONTINUOUS

WALDEN sits on a couch, reading from a picture book. WUBBZY,

DAIZY and WIDGET all sit on the floor, listening intently to
Walden’s story.

WALDEN
“...and they lived happily ever
after.”

Walden closes the book. Wubbzy, Daizy and Widget <CHEER>.

DAIZY
That was a great story, Walden!

WIDGET
It sure was!

WUBBZY
Read it again! I love The Hopping
Dipple-Dop! He’s so silly!

Wubbzy stands up and starts to recite a passage from the

book.

WUBBZY
“I like to hop and I like to bop!
I like to hop, hop, hop while I
bop, bop, bop!”

DAIZY
(giggles)
I love that part!

WUBBZY
I wish we could really play with
the Hopping Dipple-Dop. He seems
like a lot of fun!

Widget dwells on Wubbzy’s last comment.

WIDGET
Say, that gives me an idea. A
super-dee-duper idea! Wait here,
I’ll be right back!

Widget runs off. We hear O.S. <BUILDING SOUNDS>. Moments

later Widget rolls out her latest invention.

WIDGET
Ta-da! Introducing the Story-Maker
3000! This little machine can
bring any storybook to life!
Watch!

Widget places the copy of “The Hopping Dipple-Dop” book on

top of the machine then pushes the button on her remote
control. Like a fax machine, the book slides into the
device. The machine <CLATTERS> and <CLANKS> before a BEAM OF
LIGHT shoots out of the machine’s lens, projecting a
holographic image of The Hopping Dipple-Dop into the room.

DAIZY
Lavender Lollipops!

WUBBZY
It’s the Hopping Dipple Dop!

The hologram rotates above the floor. Suddenly a second

flash of LIGHT shoots out of the machine and the hologram is
instantly transformed into a living, breathing entity.

WUBBZY
Wow wow wow!

The HOPPING DIPPLE-DOP smiles and tips his hat.

DIPPLE-DOP
How-de-do? I’m the Hopping Dipple-
Dop! I like to hop, hop, hop while
I bop, bop, bop!

WUBBZY/DAIZY
<GIGGLES>

Suddenly the Wubb Club phone <RINGS>.

 3.

WIDGET
There’s the phone - I’ll get it.

As Widget runs off to answer the phone, Wubbzy waves to the

Hopping Dipple-Dop.

WUBBZY
Hi, Mr. Dipple-Dop!

The Dipple-Dop waves back.

DIPPLE-DOP
Hello there, yellow fellow!

WUBBZY
Wow! He really is real!

DIPPLE-DOP
I’m real! I’m real! Reach out and
feel!

The Dipple Dop holds out his arm, and Wubbzy reaches for
it...

Widget reenters the room and shuts off the machine. The
Hopping Dipple-Dop disappears <shoop!>.

WUBBZY & DAIZY

(disappointed)
Ohhhh...

WIDGET
Sorry, fellas! That was Chef Fritz
on the phone. His twiddle griddle
is broken and needs to be fixed
right away!

WALDEN
I’ll help you, Widget. Fixing a
twiddle griddle is a very big job.

WIDGET
Thanks, Walden!

Widget looks to Wubbzy and Daizy.

WIDGET
We’ll be gone for a while, so don’t
touch the Story-Maker 3000 until we
get back!

WUBBZY/DAIZY
We won’t, Widget. We promise!
 4.

Widget and Walden run off.

WUBBZY
Gee, I miss the Hopping Dipple Dop.

DAIZY
Me too. What should we do instead?

Wubbzy spots his kickity-kick ball.

WUBBZY
Let’s play kickity-kick ball!

Wubbzy runs up to the ball and kicks it. The ball rockets
off Wubbzy’s foot, bouncing and ricocheting off a number of
things before finally hitting and activating The Story-Maker
3000 <Clatter! Clank!>

DAIZY
Uh-oh. We weren’t supposed to
touch that machine.

WUBBZY
It was an accident...

Within seconds, the Hopping Dipple-Dop reappears.

DIPPLE-DOP
How-de-do? I’m the Hopping Dipple-
Dop! I like to hop and I like to
bop! I like to hop, hop, hop while
I bop, bop, bop!

WUBBZY
Wow - the Hopping Dipple-Dop is
back!

The kickity-kick ball bounces back into frame, rolling to a

stop at the Dipple-Dop’s feet. The Dipple-Dop bends down and
picks it up.

DIPPLE-DOP
A ball! A ball! How very neat! I
will kick it with my feet!

The Dipple-Dop kicks the ball and chases it off screen.

Wubbzy and Daizy follow the Dipple-Dop outside.

EXT. WUBB CLUB - DAY

The ball bounces out the front door. The Hopping Dipple-Dop
hops onto the ball and begins to roll around on it.
 5.

WUBBZY
Wow! That looks like fun!

DIPPLE-DOP
It’s fun, it’s fun! Like rock and
roll! The faster you rock, the
farther you roll!

The Dipple-Dop hops off the ball, and Wubbzy takes a turn
rolling on it.

WUBBZY
Wheeee!

Wubbzy rolls around on the ball, and then falls off and lands
on the ground <splat>

WUBBZY
<giggles>

DIPPLE-DOP
I have a cat! His name is Cat! He
hangs around the laundromat! We
should go see him! Yes, let’s do
that!

The Hopping Dipple-Dop hops off screen.

WUBBZY/DAIZY
<GIGGLE>

WUBBZY
That’s just what he says in his
storybook!

Daizy thinks for a moment.

DAIZY
But Wubbzy, the Dipple-Dop isn’t
going to find his cat here in
Wuzzleburg. Cat only lives in the
storybook.

WUBBZY
You’re right, Daizy, we better go
tell him!

Wubbzy and Daizy run off after the Dipple-Dop.

EXT. WUZZLEBURG BANANA STAND

The Hopping Dipple-Dop stops at a banana stand, sitting on

top of a hill.
 6.

As Wubbzy and Daizy catch up, the Dipple-Dop grabs a couple

of bananas from the stand and squeezes them, popping the
bananas out of their skins <pop! pop!>.

DIPPLE-DOP
Bananas are great! The peels are
so slippy, you can use them to
skate!

The Dipple-Dop drops the banana skins onto the ground and
steps on them. Using them like ice skates, the Dipple-Dop
pushes off and begins to glide down the hill.

DIPPLE-DOP
Ho ho!

WUBBZY
<giggles> The Hopping Dipple-Dop is
just as silly as he is in his book!

Wubbzy and Daizy grab some bananas and squeeze them <Pop!
Pop!>.

WUBBZY
Let’s skate!

DAIZY
It’s great!

Wubbzy and Daizy slip the peels on their feet and slide out
of frame as they eat the bananas.

WUBBZY/DAIZY
Wheeeeee!

EXT. VARIOUS PARTS OF WUZZLEBURG - DAY

The Dipple-Dop, Wubbzy and Daizy slide down the hill, over a
bridge and into Wuzzleburg.

WUBBZY
Ha ha! This is so cool!

Without missing a beat, the Dipple-Dop spins around and

begins skating backwards, facing Wubbzy and Daizy.

DIPPLE-DOP
Yes! Skating is cool! It’s really
tip-top! But it would be a lot
cooler, if I knew how to stop!

As the Dipple-Dop skids out of view, Wubbzy and Daizy share a

concerned look.
 7.

WUBBZY/DAIZY
Huh?

EXT. WUZZLEBURG ZOO - DAY

The Dipple-Dop, Wubbzy and Daizy slide into the entrance of

the ZOO. As CAMERA PANS along outside of zoo, Birds
<SQUAWK> and animals <ROAR> and <SCREECH>.

Seconds later, the Dipple-Dop slides out the ZOO EXIT,

covered in monkeys! Another moment passes before a KANGAROO,
sliding on Wubbzy’s banana peels, exits the zoo. Wubbzy and
Daizy peek out from the kangaroo’s pouch. Wubbzy looks up
and reacts.

WUBBZY
Wow Wow Wow! This didn’t happen in
the storybook!

PULL-OUT to reveal the kangaroo carrying an elephant and an

alligator above her head.

DAIZY
Lavender Lollipops! Look!

Daizy points to something OFFSCREEN. Wubbzy looks and

reacts.

WUBBZY’S POV - A large PILE OF DIRT, in the shape of a ramp,

sits in the middle of the street.

WUBBZY
Hang on!

Wubbzy and Daizy lower themselves into the kangaroo’s pouch.

The Dipple-Dop hits the ramp first and soars through the air,
quickly followed by Wubbzy and Daizy.

WUBBZY/DAIZY
Whoooaaa!

EXT. WUZZLEBURG MARSHMALLOW CASTLE BUILDING CONTEST - DAY

Huggy, Buggy and Earl work on three life-sized marshmallow

castles sit just inside the Wuzzleburg Park.

EARL
I just love marshmallow castles!
 8.

Suddenly a large SHADOW falls upon Earl. PULL-OUT as the

Dipple-Dop, Wubbzy, Daizy and the zoo animals CRASH into the
soft, puffy castles <SPLAT!> Marshmallows fly everywhere!

CROSS-DISSOLVE
TO:

A giant pile of marshmallows is all that’s left of the

castles. One by one, Wubbzy, Daizy, the Dipple-Dop and
Huggy, Buggy and Earl <pop> their heads out of the pile.

EARL
I just love eating marshmallow
castles!

As Earl starts devouring the marshmallows, the Dipple-Dop

spots something OFFSCREEN.

DIPPLE-DOP
The laundromat! Now fancy that!
I’ll finally find my long-lost Cat!

The Dipple-Dop runs off. Wubbzy and Daizy follow.

EXT. WUZZLEBURG LAUNDROMAT - DAY

The Dipple-Dop runs up to the laundromat and starts to look

for his cat.

DIPPLE-DOP
Cat? Oh Cat? He’s nowhere around!

The Dipple-Dop opens the front door and peers inside.

DIPPLE-DOP
Cat? Oh Cat?
(scratches his head)
He can’t be found!

Wubbzy and Daizy rush over.

WUBBZY
That’s because we’re in Wuzzleburg,
Mr. Dipple-Dop!

DAIZY
Yes, we have to bring you back to
the Wubb Club so we can put you
into your storybook!

The Hopping Dipple-Dop doesn’t listen and starts approaching

strangers.
 9.

DIPPLE-DOP
Excuse me, have you seen my cat?
He’s orange and fluffy...!

The Dipple-Dop becomes distracted by something OFF-SCREEN.

DIPPLE-DOP
Say! What’s that?

PULL-OUT to reveal a large ROAD-PAVING VEHICLE parked across

the street.

EXT. DOWNTOWN WUZZLEBURG - CONTINUOUS

The Dipple-Dop quickly hops into the driver’s seat of the

paving machine. Wubbzy and Daizy follow, hopping aboard the
back.

WUBBZY
Please come back to the Wubb Club,
Mr. Dipple-Dop! I’m sure that’s
where your cat is.

The Dipple-Dop ignores Wubbzy’s plea and starts up the

machine.

DIPPLE-DOP
Sometimes my cat strolls down the
street, looking for yummy treats to
eat!

The Dipple-Dop grabs the controls and the machine begins to

<chug> down the unfinished street, leaving a newly paved
road, complete with median lines behind it!

DIPPLE-DOP
This is fun! But much too slow.
Faster-faster we must go!

The Dipple-Dop shifts gears on the machine. Smoke pours out

of the exhaust pipe as the machine speeds up <Vroom!>.

WUBBZY/DAIZY
Whoooaaa!

The Dipple-Dop turns off of the unfinished street and into -

EXT. PARK - CONTINUOUS

- the park, winding his way around trees and playground

equipment, creating new roads wherever he goes!
 10.

DAIZY
Get back on the road, Mr. Dipple-
Dop!

DIPPLE-DOP
I am the road! Can’t you see?!
The cars and the trucks are
following me!

PULL-OUT to reveal a line of cars and trucks, following the

Dipple-Dop’s every move. A concerned Wubbzy looks TO CAMERA

WUBBZY
Wow wow wow!

DIPPLE-DOP
Have no worries, have no fear!
I’ll find my cat! He must be near!

The Dipple-Dop then turns back onto a normal road and the
paving truck speeds OUT OF FRAME.

EXT. YUM YUM RESTAURANT - DAY

Widget and Walden exit the restaurant with tools in hand.

WIDGET
Thanks for helping me fix Chef
Fritz’s twiddle griddle, Walden.

WALDEN
It was my pleasure, Widget!

Just then, the paving machine comes to a stop in front of

Widget and Walden <SCREECH!>

DIPPLE-DOP
Can you help me? I’ve lost my cat!
He wasn’t at the laundromat! He
wasn’t strolling down the street,
looking for yummy treats to eat!

WALDEN
Great Boulevards of Belgium! It’s
the Hopping Dipple-Dop!

Wubbzy and Daizy hop off the machine.

WUBBZY
I’m sorry, Widget. I accidentally
turned on your machine when I was
playing kickity-kick ball!
 11.

DAIZY
And now we can’t get the Dipple-Dop
back to the Wubb Club!

DIPPLE-DOP
I’d really love to stay and chat -
but I must go and find my cat!

The Dipple-Dop speeds away on the paving machine.

WUBBZY
There he goes again!

WIDGET
No problemo - we’ll catch him! To
the Wubbmobile!

Widget, Walden, Wubbzy and Daizy run off screen and re-enter
riding the Wubbmobile, heading off in the same direction as
the Dipple-Dop.

EXT. WUZZLEBURG - CONTINUOUS

The Dipple-Dop drives up the side of a building, across the

top and down the other side. The Wubbmobile follows his
every move.

EXT. LAKE WUZZLEBURG - CONTINUOUS

The Dipple-Dop drives into the water, paving the ocean floor!
The Wubbmobile follows along the new submerged road.

WUBBZY
(gurgles) Wow.

The Dipple-Dop reemerges from the water and drives on. The
Wubbmobile follows, dripping water.

EXT. WUBB CLUB - DAY

The paving truck conks out, right in front of the Wubb Club.

DIPPLE-DOP
Oh dear, oh dear - I’m out of gas!
I guess I went too fast-fast-fast!

The Dipple-Dop looks at the Wubb Club.

DIPPLE-DOP
But this is where I started at!
I’ll search each room to find my
cat!

The Dipple-Dop runs into the Wubb Club just as the Wubbmobile
pulls up.

INT. WUBB CLUB - DAY

The Dipple-Dop continues to search for his cat. He slides

down a slide, sticks his head out of a bubble machine and
bounces across the Bouncy Ball Room.

DIPPLE-DOP
Cat? Oh Cat? Come out, it’s me!
Cat? Oh Cat? Where could he be?

The Dipple-Dop runs back and forth across the main room.
Wubbzy, Daizy and Walden look on while Widget tries to zap
him back into his storybook with her machine. <ZAP ZAP>

WUBBZY
Get him, Widget!

WIDGET
I’m trying, little buddy, but he
won’t stop moving long enough for
me to zap him back into his book!

WALDEN
His book! That’s it!

Walden runs up to the machine, and quickly leafs through the

pages of the storybook.

WALDEN
Aha!

With book still in hand, Walden approaches the discouraged

Dipple-Dop who pops out of a tube, empty-handed.

DIPPLE-DOP
<Sigh!> I looked left and right
and up and down, but Cat my cat
just can’t be found!

WALDEN
Excuse me, Mr. Dipple-Dop, but have
you looked inside your hat?

DIPPLE-DOP
My hat? My hat?
 13.

A light bulb suddenly goes off inside Dipple-Dop’s head.

DIPPLE-DOP
Of course! My hat! Now, why
didn’t I think of that!

The Dipple-Dop removes his hat and looks inside. He reaches

in and pulls out an adorable little orange kitten <MEOW>.

DIPPLE-DOP
My cat! My cat! He was in my hat!

The Dipple-Dop hugs his cat <PURR>. Walden places the story
book back into the machine.

WUBBZY
Wow wow, Walden! I forgot all
about that part of the story!

As the Dipple-Dop sits down with his cat in his lap, Widget
points her remote control towards the machine.

WIDGET
Stand back, everyone!

WUBBZY
So long, Mr. Dipple-Dop!

Widget presses the button on her remote and <ZAP>. A beam of

light shoots out of the machine, returning the Dipple-Dop and
his cat into the story book.

WIDGET
And they lived happily ever after!

WUBBZY & DAIZY

(applauding) Yayyy!

Walden takes the book out of the machine again.

WALDEN
Well, that was quite an adventure!
I don’t suppose anyone would like
to hear the story of the Hopping
Dipple-Dop again?

WIDGET/DAIZY
I sure would!/Me too!

WUBBZY
Not me!

Everyone looks to Wubbzy.

DAIZY
Why not, Wubbzy?

WUBBZY
Because - I like to hop and I like
to bop. But I don’t like bopping
after a Hopping Dipple-Dop!
<GIGGLES>

ALL
