    ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT CY 2021

    I .RATIONALE

    Gender and Development (GAD) is one of the basic programs of Department


    of Education. Infact, DepEd issued a gender- responsive Basic Education Policy (DO
    No. 32,s. 2017) that commits to integrate the principles of gender equality, gender
    equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination and human rights in the provision and
    governance of basic education. Likewise it ensures that all its programs and
    activities are gender sensitive especially during this time of Covid-19 pandemic
    where cases of gender-violence, abuse and inequalities are increasing as per report
    from the Philippine Council of Women.

    Moreover, in this New Normal, it is the initiative of the school through the
    Guidace Program to ensure a gender- responsive teaching, learning and increase
    the participatory, transparency, equity and gender responsiveness of all programs.

    II. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

    a. to capacitate teachers on Gender Sensitive Incorporating Sexual


    Orientation, Gender identity and Expressioon and using Gender Fair
    Language
    b. to orient and capacitate teachers on the Harmonization of Gender and
    Development during the New normal and current issues and concerns
    relative Gender equality
    c. to strengthen the anti- VAW Advocacy

    III. ACTIVITIES UNDETAKEN

    a. attended Online Training on Gender Sensitive Incorporating Sexual


    Orientation. Gender Identity and Expression and Using Gender Fair
    Language conducted by GAD Panabo City
    b. incorporated GAD budget on Annual Procurement Plan 2021
    c. conducted school-based training on Gender and Development
    d. attended 18-day Campaign to End VAW conducted by City Government of
    Panabo
