FOREWORD

First of all, let me congratulate the men who have, in one way or another, been a
part of this great accomplishment for the company which we all now appreciate.
Reminiscing from the past, where we started, has created in me a passion that
anticipates for a bright future to which everyone in the company will endeavor to attain.
Should there be a new challenge that will call for our earnestness and dedication, we are
ready to face!
With the aim of satisfying the needs and criterion of the valued customers, our company
is focused on delivering a broad quality of services on design, management, construction,
and development. Firstly, creating our concepts, including all aspects of practicality,
flexibility, appearance and longevity, based on the acceptable international standards of
quality and safety, became our central consideration. Secondly, with equal importance as
the preceding factor, we give a high regard on the accuracy of our pricing and costing to
be within the minimum without sacrificing the quality. Thirdly, we want to handover the
project on time.

INTRODUCTION
Al-Kifah Contracting Company, whose head office is located at King Saud Street in
Dammam, eastern portion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a member of Al-Kifah
Holding Company. A holding company that had been founded by the late Sheikh Hassan
Abdullah Al-Afaleq whose vision is towards the development of his community and
country by providing business opportunities in various industrial, manufacturing, trading,
construction, educational and service projects. Al-Kifah Contracting Company, thence,
became in existence since 1978 in order to undertake and manage all construction
activities for both public and private owned projects which the holding company became
involved with.
KCC, as they called it, is a highly reputed construction company today. Having acquired
ISO certification and adopting the founder’s principle and commitment, one of his
children, the incumbent General Manager, Engr. Osama H. Al-Afaleq, has this mission:
For decades now, the company remains committed to that task. And, because of its
involvement to the industry and track record, the Al-Kifah Contracting Company has
gained respect and recognition from the business community. Likewise, the company
made contributions to improve the quality of lives here and some parts of the world in
providing employment. The company is grateful to all its employees for they have been
playing an important role in its success and expansion.
Al-Kifah Contracting Company is backed-up by the resources and logistics of the holding
company and its subsidiaries. We have more than 3,000 work force, a fleet of equipment
and trucks, concrete batching plants in many places, pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete
plant, trading company, engineering and architectural design firm, manufacturing
company, real estate, and consultancy firm. We have highly qualified engineering staff
and certified technical personnel that can be challenged by the most difficult problem and
intricate situations. We dare to see that all requirements of the clienteles will be satisfied
with an utmost diligence and compliance.
Our optimism, the right attitude, believing that we can do it, and that the Creator will be
gracious to grant all opportunities and possibilities, we are looking to the future with a

KCC acquires real estate properties in strategic locations to anticipate for the
supply of amenities to the targeted customers. Furthermore, feasibility studies
will be conducted for the development of the properties. Then, we sell or lease
these developed properties to prospective customers.

blend of interrelated and interdependent departments to have an integrated and
centralized control of all the projects and undertakings.

TECHNICAL
DEPARTMENT
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT
Our Electro-Mechanical Department plays a vital role in the project by providing all
technical data, material specifications, procedures, coordinator in the erection of all
civil and architectural structure that are affected by or affecting electro-mechanical
works, supervision in the installation of all electro-mechanical equipments
(instruments, machines, engines, appliances, power controls, and other
appurtenances), technicians and supervisors in the energizing and commissioning of
the facilities. They also provide the ETD with the prices and quantities for bidding
preparations.

PLANNING DEPARTMENT
This department guarantees the quality of all the works which has the following
interrelated activities:

Recording
All plants, equipment, instruments, and apparatus are regularly checked and
calibrated. Materials are carefully maintained, stockpiled, and produced complying to
international standards. The parameters are complied and attested by external third
party laboratory.

PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT
The Procurement Department is in charge of sourcing out all the requirements of the
project except human resources. It handles the canvassing, submittals, sampling,
selection, purchasing, and delivery of the materials, tools and equipments, and other
requirements.
The Equipment and Logistic Department manages and supervises the acquisitions,
maintenance, repairs, and performance of the equipments and operators. They are
responsible for the training, certification and evaluation of operators. Their primary
goal is to maximize the utilization of the equipment with a minimal cost of operation,
repairs, and maintenance.
KCC is greatly concerned with the safety and maintenance of good working
conditions to prevent loss and damage to the environment, property, and people. Our
safety personnel, scaffolding supervisors and inspectors, heavy equipment operators,
and permit receivers are well trained and certified by Aramco.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
The Finance Department handles all the collections, the disbursements, payments,
accounting, recording, and funding. It serves as the auditor to all the projects.
The aim of this department is to satisfy the projects’ personnel requirements and the
personnel’s necessities while taking residence in the kingdom for the project. It is in-
charge with the maintenance and operations of all the labor camps. They coordinate
and supervise in the deployment of workers elsewhere.
This department handles the real estate development project, business development,
and marketing.

In every organization, the most important asset is the people that play essential roles in
the performance of the company’s functions and responsibilities. Thus, KCC is fortunate
to have highly qualified and experienced personnel. Reciprocally, KCC has aimed to
provide its employees all the basic necessities while performing their assigned tasks and
at the same time equip them through trainings and seminars to enhance their capabilities.
After almost 30 years, the company and the employees because of the mutual benefits
that simultaneously being enjoyed by, the company as an organization has grown
tremendously and has blazed a track record of fulfilling its obligation and commitment
both to the customers and the community. We would like to be on the level where we
should be. Having confidence in the organization, we aim high. The teamwork that has
been developed through the years of hard work has reaped a harvest of opportunities and
wealth. We will continue to improve and develop new concepts both in management and
technology.

The work force of Al-Kifah Contracting Company alone is consisting of more than 1,250
workers. Where they are transferred from one site to another based on the requirements
of each project according to the manpower schedule. The Company owns and operates
labour camps in Al-Hassa, in Dammam, in Riyadh, and in Medina which all can
accommodate the workers. All the camps are well furnished and well maintained. Safety
and health requirements has been provided and assured at all camps. Al-Kifah has
adhered to the safety and healthy programs acceptable to the International Safety
Standard. The workers are well provided with all the safety gadgets at all times in their
work areas and each person with health insurance coverage. They are updated regularly
as per international Safety and Loss Prevention Rules. We maintain good hygiene and
diet in the camps with multi-item menu to provide the workers good and nutritional food
to keep them in good health. Transportation services are provided daily to mobilize the
workers.

V. EQUIPMENT AND LOGISTICS
Our company has acquired varied equipments to meet the requirements of the various
projects. Inevitably, we have provided a pool of maintenance technicians and mechanics
to upkeep the good working condition of these equipment. Regularly, the equipments are
checked, calibrated, tested and certified by a qualified external Third Party Inspection
Company to assure Safety and Productivity.
