APPLICATIONS

Dissolving/diluting
ERIOPON R afterclearing agent can be diluted with cold or warm water in all proportions.

Required amount
This depends on water hardness, purity of the cotton, liquor ratio and shade depth of the dyeing or
print.

Soaping dyeing: 1.0–3.0 g/l ERIOPON® R (in exhaust or continuous method)

Soaping prints: 3.0–5.0 g/l ERIOPON® R

The higher amounts are used for washing off in hard water, for wash baths for dyeing on gray-state
or inadequately pretreated cotton, for treatments in short liquors and for deep dyeing.

NOTES

Hard water hinders soaping of dyeing and prints produced with reactive dyes. ERIOPON R can
counteract this effect. Water is not the only potential source of hardness ions. They can also be
transferred to the soaping bath by the cotton.
ERIOPON R afterclearing agent is not recommended for washing off dyeing and prints produced
with disperse dyes. For this, we recommend ERIOPON® OL or ® ERIOPON® OS. These two
products are not recommended for washing off dyeing produced with reactive dyes.
Conventional detergents (e.g. soap) are frequently used for washing off dyeing and prints. These
products have disadvantages (e.g. inadequate stability in hard water, foam generation, electrolytic
effect or inadequate effectiveness). ERIOPON R afterclearing agent is markedly superior to such
products.
ERIOPON R afterclearing agent is a highly concentrated product and thus has fairly high viscosity.
Should this give rise to problems, a stock solution can be prepared. ERIOPON R afterclearing agent
can be diluted with water in all proportions.
