ORDER:

The Contract Junior Lecturers working in the Government Junior


Colleges in the State have represented to the Government that they are
working since the year 2000 and for the last 10 years they are getting meagre
remuneration. They have therefore requested the Government for payment
of basic pay of the Government Junior Lecturers i.e. Rs.18,030/- in terms of
the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.4271, Finance (SMPC) Dept., dated
01.11.2008.

2. Government, vide ref.2nd read above, called for the report from
the Director of Intermediate Education. The Director of Intermediate,
Hyderabad vide his reply 3rd read above has stated that there are about 9105
contract faculties working in Government Junior Colleges in general as well as
vocational courses including in the new Government Junior Colleges and the
current expenditure at the rate of Rs.7500/- per month for the contract faculty
working in urban areas and at Rs.8500/- per month for those working in Rural
areas is Rs.73.58 crore and if the basic of the minimum time scale of
Government Junior Lecturers i.e. Rs.18,030/- is implemented to the contract
faculty, the total expenditure will be Rs.164.16 crore, i.e. additional
expenditure of Rs.90.56 crore per annum.

3. In the G.O.4th read above, it is ordered that the remuneration of


the personnel working on contract/outsourcing basis not covered in the said
G.O., shall be fixed not exceeding the minimum of the time scale attached to
the equivalent category of the relevant post in the Revised Pay Scales of Pay-
2010.

4. Accordingly, Government have examined the matter, and after careful


consideration, hereby enhance and fix the remuneration to the Contract Junior
Lecturers (Urban & Rural) working in the Government Junior Colleges in the
State at Rs.18,000/- (Rupees Eighteen thousands only) per month, from the
next academic year i.e. with effect from 01-06-2011.

4. The Director of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad shall take action


accordingly.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (Expr.HE) Dept.,
vide their U.O.No.1707/46/Expr.HE/2011, dated 05-03-2011.
