Input Devices:
A computer part that allows the user to enter information into the computer including
a keyboarding, mouse, scanner, microphone, joystick, trackball, touch pad, touch screen, and light pen,
etc.
Joystick:
Construction
It consists of a resistor board four keys switcher and a connector to the rcx brick. The

Joystick is also a pointing devices that is used to move cursor Position on a position on a
screen the joystick can be move in all four directions. The functions of joystick is similar to mouse it is
mainly used for playing computer games.
Track Ball:
Construction
It is a pointing device. It is similar to a mouse. This is mainly used in notebook or laptop
computer, instead of a mouse. This is a ball which is half inserted, and by changing fingers on the ball,
the pointer can be moved.

having sensors for detecting the ball's rotation.
Light Pen:
Construction
It consists of a photocell and an optical system placed in a small tube. When its tip is
moved over the monitor screen, and pen button is pressed, its photocell sensing element detects the
screen location and sends the corresponding signals to the CPU.
Working
A light pen is a computer input device in the form of a light-sensitive wand used in conjunction
with a computer's cathode-ray tube (CRT) display. A light pen detects changes in brightness of nearby
screen Pixels when scanned by cathode-ray tube electron beam and communicates the timing of this to
the computer.

The output device displays the result of the processing of raw data that is entered in the

ways such as text, images, hard copies, and audio or video.
