design notes:
1 This pipe class has been calculated in accordance with EN 13480-3.
2 Flange P-T rating and mating dimensions acc. to EN 1092-1, PN 10, material group 13E0.
3 Limits of the pipe class:
a. Pressure- temperature rating:
up to DN 250 the max. allowable pressure is full rated (PN 10)
For DN 300 and above the max. allowable pressure is limited by branch
connections (see table below).
The below mentioned P-T rating has been calculated with the values of ASME
Sect. II, part D, table Y-1.
Temp (°C) / Press (bar(g))
DN -60 ... 20° 50° 100° 150° 200° 250° 300° 350° 400°
15 – 250 10 10 9.4 8.6 7.9 7.4 6.9 6.6 6.4
300 10 10 9.4 8.6 7.9 7.4 6.9 6.6 6.4
350 7.2 6.8 6.1 5.5 5.1 4.8 4.6 4.4 4.2
400 6.0 5.8 5.1 4.6 4.2 4.0 3.8 3.7 3.5
450 – 600 5.1 4.9 4.3 3.9 3.6 3.4 3.2 3.1 3.0
b. Minimum temperature : -60°C
Maximum temperature : 400°C
c. Pipe systems up to and including DN 350 are suitable for full vacuum
For larger sizes the max. support span shall be calculated.
5 Branch connections see fig 1. A 45° stub in is allowed only for a temperature measuring
point.
6 Instead of the mentioned Werkstoff Nr. 1.4401 and 1.4404, the materials 1.4571 may be
delivered as equivalent.
7 All pipes fittings and flanges are intended to be used in maximum Category III of the
Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
8 For the mentioned non approved materials of pipes, fittings and flanges a Particular
Material Appraisal (PMA) is available. See STS.
