Colorimetric Evaluation - DE CMC

 The color difference DE CMC is a calculation based on the Lab color system. It
takes into account the lightness, hue and chroma of the color. It also considers
the observer (10º of visual angle) and D65 as illuminant – the artificial light that
has spectral distribution close to the natural light.

Visual Evaluation

 Visual Panel: Rank Test

12 evaluators
Based on ASTM 88C-2003.

 Objective: 3 or more tiles with the

replicates of each formulation
- Evaluation of washing performance of three
or more products: closer to reality
Instructions to organize the tiles in
order of cleanness
 The evaluation:

- Color of the background is standardized

Attribution of grades or selection
- Distance of the evaluator from the panel is the best one
standardized
Checking the statistical differences
- Light above the panel is standardized using the Software: Friedman-Mod.

CIE whiteness is the degree to which a surface is white. To promote uniformity of practice in the evaluation of whiteness of surface colors, it is recommended
that the formulæ for whiteness be used for comparisons of the whiteness of samples evaluated for CIE standard illuminant D65. In this case, the higher the
