DIESEL
COMPRESSOR
CONTROLLER

DESCRIPTION FEATURES
The DK-30 is a high-tech product providing control ● Automatic operation via output pressure
and protection of diesel engine driven, screw or ● Load solenoid control
piston type air compressors.
● Analog speed control output
The controller incorporates all functions needed in
a compressor control panel. Thus no additional ● Multiple compressor support
modules are necessary resulting in lower panel ● Comprehensive engine instrumentation
cost. ● Detailed engine protection
The controller features full engine protection and ● Engine overspeed protection
instrumentation through analog and digital inputs
and outputs. It acts also as an overspeed ● Zero power consumption at rest
protection relay protecting the engine from ● Flexible engine hours calculation algorithm
overspeeding. ● Early start function preventing pressure drop
In order to prevent battery drain, in STOP mode, ● History records
the controller turns completely off, consuming zero
● 5 independent service counters
current.
● Magnetic pickup input
The engine rpm is read through the magnetic
pickup sender installed on the engine flywheel. ● 6 programmable digital outputs
The “early start” function analyzes the air ● 6 programmable digital inputs
consumption trend and runs the compressor so ● 3 programmable engine analog sender inputs
that the pressure never falls below the low limit. ● 2 air pressure sensor inputs
In order to have a constant output pressure, the ● 2 air temperature sensor inputs
controller is capable of governing the engine
speed with its analog output driven by a PID loop. ● Adjustable sensor characteristics

The controller supports multi-compressor ● Logic level serial port

application up to 8 compressors. ● MODBUS-RTU communications
The logic level Modbus RTU communication port ● Password protected front panel programming
of the controller allows computer connection ● Low panel depth, easy installation
providing monitoring and program parameter
● Wide operating temperature range
adjusting.
● Sealed front panel (IP65 with gasket)
The controller configuration may be done through
the front panel or using the free PC software. The
PC software is available for free download at
manufacturer’s website.
It is possible to monitor and record the controller
using the free RAINBOW+ software.
