OPINION
My opinion about this video does not agree. As an agrarian citizen who reveres the
sovereignty of the sea and everything in it, I am so pity for whale hunting in Japan, even though
Japan is one of the archipelago states. Maybe, Japan thinks that the quantity of whales is many
stock and very often to found in Japan so they are hunting those whales and process it as well.

What would you do if one of your parents and one of your siblings had the sex change
procedure? Will you support and accept them?
I begin my opinion with my statement that I have answered on the last class. When we
speak about this problem, we are able to speak universally. For instance, we enable to talk about
religion -God’s commands-, medical science, and humanity, and all of them have a conflicting
answer. So, actually I am still confused, every time I am asked about this topic. I do not know
what my fixed opinion is, and this is the long-drawn case because of the increase of their
quantity.
Beside of that, let me try to answer the question. First, I take them as they are because
they are my family, and always become my family. I do not care about their sexualities, but I
care about their humanities. As an example, there is a case about this problem in Indonesia, even
from the public figure. We know Lawalata’s family, one of them is an actor, Mario Lawalata.
His brother, Reggy Lawalata, decides to change his sexuality, from male to female. There is a
video in YouTube that shows about his (ups, I’m sorry, I mean her) mother’s statement. His
mother respect about her son’s choice and accept him, not as a male or female but as a son, as a
human. When I saw this video, I really touched when I heard about his mother’s statement.
The second answer is relation with God. When we talk about this topic every time, we
talk certainly about God. God forbids us to change our sexuality. “I make you as male and
female, so when you go back to me, you are you were in the past.” Actually, our relationship
with God is private. So, there is not an obstacle will hamper us. Their choice become the sex
changer is their affairs with God, and we do not become as a judge for them. “Love your
choice.” It is a sentence that I will say to them. Love your choice and live it. As a closing
statement, I quote more the Lawalata’s mother quote. This is the quote that is given by the strong
mother, who accept their son as is. “Whatever who you are, I love you so much, so you can do
what you want. Whatever what you want. Whatever.”
