iPASOLINK XPIC (Cross Polarization Interference Canceller)
iPASOLINK can double its transmission capacity up to 1240Mbps in 56MHz bandwidth by adopting
NEC’s state of the art XPIC technology.
XPIC working with Radio Link Aggregation and G8032v2 ERPS
The additional required components for XPIC are;
nDual polarized antenna,
nAdditional ODU,
nAssociated IF cable kit, (iPASO VR4 / VR10)
nSoft-key upgrade in IDU.
iPASO VR2
iPASO VR4
iPASOLINK VR4 / VR10 can be configured with Multiple groups of XPIC links in one IDU.

RSTP (IEEE 802.1w)/ MSTP (IEEE802.1s)
• Layer2 based loop-free protection mechanism
– Each device using STP/RSTP send BPDU frames, and root bridge, root port, designated port, backup port and
alternate port are decided by BPDU frame.
• Widely used in the enterprise network
• Protection Switching Time; STP < 60sec / RSTP < 2~3 sec
• Topology is no limitation (Ring, Tree, etc…)
