2. Greetings Good morning, class!

4. Review Class, what was our lesson last meeting? Very good! What are the types of Sports?
Sir, our lesson last meeting was all about Sports. Individual, Dual and Team sports.

Lesson Proper Introduction: Our topic for today is all about Swimming. And it is one of the most popular
individual sport. Do you know how to swim?

Presentation: First, why do we need to know how to swim?

Sir we need to know how to swim to save ourselves or others in case of calamities.

Very well said! Knowing how to swim is not only for our own sake. (Show a pictures flood situations in
the country and advice the learners about the Rainfall Warning System) It’s very important to learn how
to swim and even the basic skills of swimming. (Demonstration and video presentation of four types of
float) (Demonstration and video presentation of four types of kick)

(Some of the learners will do the procedure of the skills in the front of the class)

Yes Sir, but how? There’s no swimming pool or water here.

It’s not a problem class… Let’s do the “Scuba dancing”

The learners will also execute the basic skills of swimming through dancing it.

IV. Generalization Ask the students about the importance and the different skills needs to know in
swimming. V. Evaluation Performance Activity: “Scuba Dancing” or “Zumba Dancing” The class will use
and practice the different swimming styles and kicks as a dance step to create a simple dance
performance.

2. Checking of Attendance Secretary who is absent today? None Sir! Very good! B. Motivation Before we
go on to our topic for today, let’s have a game first.
But before that I want you to group yourself into four. Are you ready class? Yes we are! I will give you an
envelope and inside is a puzzle and all you have to do is to arrange it to form a picture. You only have 30
seconds to do the task and after doing it, just clap your hand as a sign that you are done and one of your
group mate will tack it on the board. Did you understand class? Yes Sir! (The teacher will distribute
materials to each group.)

The timer starts now! (The students will arrange the puzzle) Time is up! Now let’s take a look at the
picture in front. So class, what did you notice to those pictures? Any guess, yes Aki! A group of people
that is dancing. Nice observation! What particular type of fitness activity are they doing? Yes JC? They
are doing a Zumba, Sir! Exactly! C. Lesson Proper 1. Discussion This morning class our lesson is all about
Zumba!

For us to understand more our topic. Let us first define Zumba thru concept mapping. Now, I want you
to give your own idea about Zumba. Write a phrase or a word that comes to your mind when you hear
the word Zumba. I’m glad you have written those words. Now based on your answer, who can now give
his own meaning of Zumba?

(Students will raise their hand)

Yes Hans? (Students answer may vary) Nice answer! Class, Zumba is a fitness work out that uses music
and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Zumba benefits us by body awareness,
great stress reliever and it keeps people doing it because it is enjoyable. Now class, are you ready to
learn Zumba?

Please stand up and let’s do our warm up.

Class, before I will teach the steps, kindly listen first to the music for the familiarization of the rhythm.

activity performed with moderate intensity, with a lot of repetitive movements done with in a long

produce increases in both muscle and bone strenght.
