6. A sports club has 90 members. 50% of the members prefer football; 20% prefer cricket, and the
rest prefer basketball. Find the number of members who prefer basketball.
7. A trader bought 60 packets of sugar for her shop. The total mass of sugar in the 60 packets is 30kg.
While she was away, her little son carefully took out a cube of sugar from each packet. If the mass
of a cube of sugar is 5g, what is the total mass of sugar left in the packets? Leave your answer in
kg and one decimal place.
8. A porter rented a cart at the rate of N250 a day. He worked with it for six days and made a total
income of N15,000. He then paid the full rental fee of the cart. What percentage of the total
income will he have left?

9. Ibukunoluwa spent of her holiday in Lagos and the rest elsewhere. While in Lagos, she spent

half of her time with her grandmother in Ikorodu. What fraction of the holiday did Ibukunoluwa

19. A doctor instructed Christine to take two tablets of Vitamin C every eight hours. If Christine did

20. Kamsi knows three times as many jokes as Oscar. The two boys know 72 jokes altogether. How

22. In the first 1 hour and 30 minutes of a marathon, an athlete covered a distance of 24km. She ran
the next 16km in another hour. If she completed the next (and final) 2km of the race in 30 minutes,
what was her average speed throughout the marathon? Leave your answer in km/h.
