Rationale

The Department of Education believes that scouting plays an important role in the society. Thus, by virtue of DepEd Order no. 68, s. 2003 known as
Revitalizing the Boy Scouting Movement in schools. Scouting is an effective program in the leadership and value formation of every child as it is in line with
the DepEd’s mission to enhance, support, and develop boys and girls into well-rounded individuals with the exemplary character. Furthermore, BSP produced
leaders who are true to the scout’s oath and law.

In addition, BSP is a leading provider of progressive outdoor based non-formal education committed to develop morally straight, disciplined,
concerned, self-reliant citizens in the best tradition of world scouting.

Objectives

a. To inculcate into our scouts/students the love of God, country and fellowmen
b. To prepare the youth for responsible leadership
c. To contribute to nation building according to the ideals, principles and program of scouting
