PROGRESS REPORT OF ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH,
KARU 1 FCT YOUTH DEPARTMENT FROM MARCH, 2018

TO JUNE, 2021 BEING THE PERIOD COVERED BY THE
OUTGOING EXECUTIVES.
The Youth Department of Assemblies of God Church, Karu 1 FCT has

no doubt enjoyed the unreserved blessings and amazing favour of God
during this period under review, in every aspects: spiritually, physically,
mentally. We believe strongly that the blessings of God upon the
department as a fragment of the Church, is connected to the fact that the
church is blessed with a Pastoral team that work in unity.
The outgoing executives of the department came up in the month of
March, 2018 and have been piloting the affairs of the department.
Psalms 133, points that where there is unity, the Lord commands his
blessings and this further seen in the unity which exists between the
executive members, led by our elected amiable President, Amos
Onwuke and Vice-president, Joy Nwaubani, who is now Acting
President.
For the purpose of clarification, permit me to refresh our minds with the
names and portfolio of the outgoing executive members, duly elected by
the members of the department. They are:
1. Amos Onwuke - President
2. Joy Nwaubani - Vice-president (currently Acting President)
3. Nimi Wokoma - Secretary
4. Ruth Nwosu - Financial Secretary
5. Daniel Achinivu - Treasurer
6. Joseph Ikweng - Public Relations Officer
GROWTH
The department, within the period under review is doing well
numerically. This was discovered when the leadership grouped the
members into three (3) groups with members not less than 30 each. This
was done with the help and full participation of the Pastoral team as a
strategy to easily get across to every member in the department. Also,
other members joined the department as a result of promotion from
Teens Department, transfer, new converts and service to father’s lands.
Spiritually, the department is doing excellent especially with the
introduction of “Let’s Pray Together” birth by the Joy led executives for
all youth to cry to the father every Saturday Morning. Lives have been
imparted and still as testimonies keeps coming. This we trust has come
to stay, God helping us.
PROJECTS
Within the period, the department has carried out various projects in the
Church. These, it did with the help of her big Daddies, Mummies and
fellow members to see to the actualization of the projects, all to the Glory
of God. The projects are:
1. Six (6) cord micro-phone
2. Painting and artwork in the children Church
3. Youth power generating set
4. Painting of the Church fence, gates, security house, patronage and
Church office
ACHIEVEMENTS/GODS BLESSINGS
The youth department within the period still under review was
showered with the blessings of God in many folds. Listed below are
some:
1. There were series of marriages counting to about Twenty (20) and
more and till this day, no evil report has been heard out of these
unions. Notable of such is the wedding of Our President, Amos
Onwukwe.
2. Quite a good number of our members graduated from tertiary
institution with no case or casualty, some of which have served the
Nation and others serving at present.
3. Members empowering themselves by taking up new skills to better
their lives.
4. Financial blessings and jobs for the members of the department
5. Although there was a member taken to be with the Lord, there has
been no other news of that to be reported among the department.
CHALLENGES
Like the popular saying, every success story comes with challenges; the
department is not an exception as it faced various challenges which
include:
1. Financial challenge as a result of some members not paying dues,
thereby putting the bulky load of financial problems on the
executives to solve or find a way about it.
2. Members not showing up for meetings on meeting days and other
activities despite the member of members in the department.
DREAM/PRAYERS
We the outgoing executives, trust God that in the coming years under
the new leadership, the department will not only increase Spiritually,
and numerically, it will be a pinnacle for the future of Assemblies of
God Karu 1 FCT as vibrant and God-loving youths will be raised and
charged to take mountain when given.
APPRECIATION
We appreciate the Almighty God for the Grace to serve for these periods
in our various capacities in His vineyard. We also appreciate the entire
members of the department for entrusting in us, the mantle of
leadership of this great department.
Most importantly we wish to congratulate the incoming executives and
promise our support. God bless us all. AMEN.
