Man as a Social Being. This module will prepare the students to be aware of their involvement in the social life of
other people and to become responsible members of their community.

Interpersonal Communication: Relating to Others is designed to help students to understand, and

improve their effectiveness in, the special variety of human communication that takes place within interpersonal
relationships. H.D. Dunca, quoted, “We do not relate and then talk, but relate in talk.” Conversation is the tool we
use to initiate and sustain relationships as they study the self, language, non-verbal communication, conflict
management, and communication with family, friends, lovers and colleagues.

Through this course, we believed that, armed with a solid grasp of principles, students can adapt research-
based strategies to their own purposes and become more skilled at initiating and managing interactions with others.
