AMMENDMENT ON AABC COMPANY RULES & REGULATIONS

RULE XI ANTI-NEPOTISM, ROMANCE IN WORK PLACE and ANTI-


FRATERNIZATION POLICY (4°)
Objective

 To prevent interference with company’s operations.


 To prevent employee demoralization: Due to favoritism shown by an employee to a relative,
whether by consanguinity or affinity, where the employee has the authority or can influence
decision of company officer to recommend promotion, higher career opportunity, give rewards
and the like.
 To prevent the creation of a negative environment: Due to lack of fairness and giving undue
advantage to a relative, whether by consanguinity or affinity can cause dissatisfaction among
workers and lower morale. Employees may have less incentive to perform their responsibilities
diligently and proficiently if they feel that the path to promotion is undermined that may lead to
the employee to seek new employment where their talent can be better recognized.
 To prevent connivance between employees that may affect company’s interest and over-ruling
company’s policies, rules & regulations.

Policy

Section 1. The Company prohibits hiring employee’s relatives, whether by consanguinity or affinity.
These may include but not limited to the following;

 Direct blood relations: Father, Mother, Sisters, Brothers, Cousin, Niece, Nephew, grand-son,
grand-daughter etc and up to 5th degree;
 In-Laws: father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin-in-law etc and up to
5th degree
 Other In-Laws: Husband or Wife of the employee’s relatives, Cousin, Niece, Nephew, father,
mother, granddaughter, grandson of the Husband or Wife of employee’s relatives

Section 2. The Company prohibits romantic relationships between employees and prohibits employees
from dating or becoming romantically involved. This may pertains to all gender, female and male; male
and male; female and female and third sexes.
