Section 1: Identification
Inhalation If fumes or combustion products are inhaled remove from contaminated area. Lay
patient down, keep warm and rested. Apply artificial respiration if not breathing,
preferably with a demand valve resuscitator, bag-valve mask device, or pocket mask
as trained. Perform CPR if necessary. Transport to hospital or doctor without delay.
Skin contact Immediately flush body and clothes with large amount of running water. Quickly
remove all contaminated clothing. Transport to hospital or doctor without delay
Immediately hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water.
Eye Contact
Transport to hospital or doctor without delay.
Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water then drink one or two glasses of
Ingestion water. Obtain medical attention. Transport to hospital or doctor without delay.
Extinguisher Media Dry chemical powder, Water spray, BCF, Carbon Dioxide
Fire Fighting Instruction Wear full body protective clothing with breathing apparatus.
Protective Equipment Breathing apparatus and protective gloves for fire only.
For large spills Contain spillage using sand or earth. Transfer liquid and solids to suitable
container. Treat residues as small spillage.
For small spills If local regulations permit, mop up with plenty of water and run to
waste, diluting greatly with running water. Otherwise absorb on inert
absorbent, transfer to suitable container and arrange removal by
disposal company. Contain spillage using sand or earth .
Section 7: Handling & Storage
Storage Store in a cool, well ventilated place, out of reach of children. Store in original
container. Keep container tightly closed and out of direct sunlight. Keep away
from oxidizing agents. Protect from physical damage. Clean up all spills and
splashes promptly; avoid secondary accidents. Do not use aluminium or
galvanised containers.
