1. Before beginning the installation, carefully unpack and identify all parts,
HEX NUT referring to illustration.
UNIVERSAL
CROSSBAR LOCK WASHER 2. Turn the electrical power to installation point OFF at circuit breaker.
3. Open the DOOR on the CAGE and install the correct bulbs referring
OUTLET BOX NIPPLE to the fixture markings and/ or labels for maximum wattage. Proceed
to close the DOOR by placing the BOLT onto the BOLT HOLDER.
4. Please note that the BACKPLATE can be reversed according to your
desired mounting directions ( please refer to Option A and Option B).
The lantern might be assembled as Option A or B while shipment.
If you want to change to another mounting method, please loose
(2) MOUNTING SCREWS
the HEX NUT and then remove the LOCK WASHER, NIPPLE and
(2) OUTLET BOX SCREWS SPACER. And then rotate the BACKPLATE and align the hole with
(not supplied) the another mounting hole on the SUPPORT ARM. Proceed to place
FIXTURE SUPPLY WIRE the SPACER back between the BACKPLATE and SUPPORT ARM.
and GROUND WIRE BACKPLATE Option B Locate the NIPPLE through the hole on the BACKPLATE and
SOCKET
SPACER and thread into the mounting hole on the SUPPORT ARM.
( 2) MOUNTING BALLS Secure with the LOCK WASHER and HEX NUT. Hand tighten until
DOOR snug.
BOLT 5. Place the CROSSBAR on the BACKPLATE and align the holes in the
SUPPORT ARM HOLDER BACKPLATE with a set of threaded holes in the CROSSBAR. Install the
BOLT
(2) MOUNTING SCREWS in the aligned threaded holes on the
CROSSBAR. Next, mount the CROSSBAR to the outlet box with
(2)OUTLET BOX SCREWS (not provided).
6. Make the connections:
Use wire connectors(not supplied) connect the HOUSE GROUND to the
FIXTURE GROUND WIRE; attach the HOUSE WHITE WIRE to
FIXTURE WHITE (or RIBBED SIDE) SUPPLY WIRE; connect the
HOUSE BLACK(or RED) WIRE to the FIXTURE BLACK(or SMOOTH
BACKPLATE SIDE) WIRE. Wrap each connection with approved electrical tape.
7. Carefully tuck all wires into the WALL MOUNTED OUTLET BOX and
( Rotate the BACKPLATE)
position the fixture over the outlet box. Align the HOLES in the
BACKPLATE with the ( 2) MOUNTING SCREWS attached to the
UNIVERSAL CROSSBAR. Pass the fixture over the ( 2) MOUNTING
HEX NUT SCREWS and secure against by threading ( 2) MOUNTING BALLS
LOCK WASHER onto end of screw. Tighten until snug.
8.Refer to Page 2 for fixture caulking installations.
NIPPLE SPACER 9. Restore power to the installation point ON. Retain this sheet for future
reference.

CAULKING INSTRUCTIONS

www . quoizel . com With the OUTDOOR FIXTURE properly installed in accordance with supplied
assembly/installation instructions, proceed with caulking instructions below.

Note: Be sure EXTERIOR WALL SURFACE and FIXTURE BACKPLATE are free to dirt to
EXTERIOR GRADE caulking. Using EXTERIOR GRADE CAULK, start on one side of FIXTURE BACKPLATE and
CAULK follow contour, were the FIXTURE BACKPLATE meets the EXTERIOR WALL SURFACE
upward. Proceed to caulk over top of backplate and down other side. DO NOT CAULK
BOTTOM OF FIXTURE BACKPLATE to ensure proper moisture drainage.
