X7777 - Direct – this is the number you dial to check your messages
X7778 - Guest/Forward – this is the number you dial to forward your phone or to do a quick message to
someone’s mailbox
X6777 - Callback – this is the number that is dialed when you press your mailbox key
X6778 - Transfer – this is the number that is dialed when you want to transfer a caller directly to
someone’s mailbox. Typically used by a receptionist or must answer position.
When you look at a user’s profile, there are 2 password fields: Password and PIN
Password is used for logging into the Webclient (you are not using this feature)
So if someone locked themselves out of their mailbox, you will update the PIN.
OR
You may want to check to see if the user LOCKED their mailbox by too many failed attempts. You can
set the “Number of failed logins” to “0”.
Creating a Ringdown extension
Configuration Management > Tables > Dial Plan > Dial Numbers > Dial Numbers
- Most ring downs are assigned as FROM > TO and TO > FROM
Check KEYSET
SAVE
Do the same sequence again to create the “TO” location.
Search for existing Hotline indexes codes to see what the next available index is.
- create 2 new Hotline indexes for FROM extension and for TO extension
SAVE
Find an available LINE key and enter the FROM extension under Destination
SAVE
- our test example on site had phones that did not work properly. Be sure the phones are fully
functioning for a valid test.
Change AppBuilder for Temporary “OPEN”
- Change Status from not logged into logged in. Choose “Administrator”
- Password will pre-populate (this is your same Administrator password).

- If you do not see an appropriate “Day Profile”, you can add one under the Day Profile tab.
Press OK and OK to get back to the main call flow. Changes in Time Profile take place right away.
Sign Phones ON / OFF via Direct Access
Look up the phone you want to sign off in Assistant and note the PEN assignment.
