ROCKTRANS Conveyor Belt adheres to first class manufacturing management and first
class quality control system.
The quality principal of Rocktrans Conveyor Belt is to adopt advance technology and
equipment in produce high and consistent quality of conveyor belting. Rocktrans conveyor
belts are manufactured with detailed quality assurance plan. It involves meticulous quality
inspection from arrival of raw materials up to the final manufacturing process.
Rocktrans also offer complete pre and after sales services. Pre-sales involve in designing
conveyor belt, plant audit and selecting correct conveyor belt. After sales service include
belt installation, belt splicing and belt maintenance training .
The conveyor belt cover rubbers are made of different quality to meet the operation
conditions, materials lump size, belt speed and customer specific requirements

Covers are used in conveyor belt constructions in order to protect the belt carcass and to extend its service life. In
addition, covers provide the finished belt with a wide variety of desirable properties, including the following:
a. Textures
to increase friction
to increase inclination
to control product
b. Cleanability
c. A specific coefficient of friction
d. A specific color
e. Cut resistance
f. Enhanced impact resistance, etc.
g. Fire Resistance, Heat, Oil & Chemical Resistance
CARCASS - The reinforcement usually found inside of a conveyor belt is normally referred to as the "carcass." In a
sense, the carcass is the conveyor belt since it must:
Provide the tensile strength necessary to move the loaded belt.
Absorb the impact of the impinging material being loaded onto the conveyor belt.
Provide the bulk and lateral stiffness required for the load support.
Provide adequate strength for proper bolt holding and/or fastener holding.

Rocktrans heat resistant conveyor belts have been developed to meet the demanding and
extreme conditions, which in some cases can involve temperatures as high as 250 °C.
High temperatures can seriously damage conveyor belt carcass because heat can cause
delamination between the cover and the carcass and also between the inner plies contained
within the carcass . Selecting the correct cover thickness is important because the cover acts
as a barrier between the heat source and the carcass .Rocktrans heat resistant conveyor belts
are used in cement industry, recycling plants, steel industry, foundries , chemical industry and
the petro-chemical industry.
Cha racteristics:
Rocktrans heat resistant carcass is made of EP fabric which is high modulus, low shrink, and
high breaking tensile strength. The cover rubber uses EPDM rubber or chlorobutadience rubber
that has very good high temperature resistance. The belt is made with mixing rubber with high
temperature resistant materials after assembling and vulcanizing.
Rocktrans heat resistant belt suitable for temperature of max 180 0 C can withstand up to 200 0 C
for a short time .
Con y r bits
Fire resistant conveyor belts are primarily used in conveying coal, fertilizer, iron works furnace or other combustible
materials. It is essential that the conveyor belts being used in such application cannot create static electricity
that can ignite gases and dust in the atmosphere.
Rocktrans specifically formulate these fire resistant conveyor belts possess self-extinguishing properties and
prevent fire from spreading over the entire belt.
Rocktrans OR belts suitable for chemical & fertilizer industry, wood, paper & pulp, sugar & food and recycling
plant.

Chevron belting is used to convey materials at steep angles that load slips or falls back. The special profiles on
such belts make increased angles of inclination possible compared with smooth surface belts.
Application Area
Indications for the slope angle:
• Approx. 30° for slightly rolling materials, such as gravel, coal etc.
• Approx. 40° for sticky materials, such as wet sand, earth etc.
• Approx. 25° up to 35° for packages, such as sacks, bales (paper hessian) etc.

TRANSITION DISTANCE
In passing to or from the last troughing idler to the terminal pulley, the belt edges are stretched and tension is
increased at the outer edges. If the belt edge stress exceeds the elastic limit of the carcass, the belt edge will
be stretched permanently and will cause belt-training difficulties. On the other hand, if the troughing idlers are
placed too far from the terminal pulleys, spillage of the load is likely. Improper transition distances and geometry
can cause the belt to buckle and may cause irreparable belt damage.
Distance is important in the change (transition) from troughed to flat form. This is especially significant when
deeply troughed idlers are used. Depending on the transition distance, one, two, or more transition type troughing
idlers can be used to support the belt between the last standard troughing idler and the terminal pulley. These
idlers can be positioned either at a fixed angle or at an adjustable concentrating angle. In no case should the
load rating of the idler be exceeded.
