STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

INTRODUCTION:

I am glad to introduce myself as Jatin Sahil and I hold Letter of Acceptance to pursue Global Business Management for
May 2022 intake from Georgian College, Ontario, Canada. Hereby, I take this opportunity in submitting the statement of
purpose which includes my aims, family background, education background, aspiration and career goals.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND:

I have been an average student all throughout my schooling. Here, I present my past educational history. I passed
Matriculation Examination scoring 7.8 CGPA from Sri Sukhmani International School Dera Bassi Mohali Punjab affiliated
to Central Board of Secondary Education, in the year 2015. After this, I passed Senior Secondary Examination with Non-
Medical Stream scoring 65.8 % from CBSE Board in the year 2017 and Bachelor of Science in 2020 from Panjab
University, Chandigarh with 57.1%.

After completing graduation, I was searching for job in same field. But due to COVID-19 Pandemic, I could start my
career in year 2021. Then, I start working in Vardhman Chemtech Limited as a trainee Chemist - Production since 10 th
May, 2021. I am also supporting my parents by handling family budget side by side. So, I spent time to research and
discussed with various counsellors according to my educational background, the education expertise also advised me to
pursue my further education in business/ Entrepreneurship as it has versatility in every field.

I prepared for The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and finally on 10th April 2021 and appeared
for the test. I scored as follows: -Overall Score: 7.0 (Listening – 8.0, Reading – 7.0, Writing – 6.0, Speaking – 6.0)

REASONS FOR SELECTING CANADA RATHER THAN OTHER COUNTRY

Canada is one of the best countries to get an international degree in Business field. This is one of the important reasons
that lead me to study in Canada. Canada has been renowned for quality education and unmatched educational facilities.
Studying in Canada will provide me good and detailed understanding of different culture, work environment, study
system and exposure to western ideology as well as I will be prepared for global job market with unlimited boundaries.
There is no doubt that a credential one receives in Canada will be worthless as one considers career opportunities in
his/her own country upon graduation. Canada offers a dynamic learning environment for international students with its
multi-couture, friendly, safe and secure environment. This is an important aspect to consider when students decide
where their aspirations lie as they ponder the higher education on foreign soil. Canada provides a multicultural
environment; thus students who study here often return to their homelands with a more open-minded perspective.
Students are educated in and out of the classroom.

Additionally, the living costs and student fees associated are affordable and Canada is comparatively less expensive
than Australia, UK and USA. Besides, Canada is a popular choice since it is fairly close to South-East Asia and as I
have already mentioned its multiculturalism and racism-less history attracts a large number of international students.
Overall, growing up in India, where the effects of globalization and international business were always apparent, I
realized that it is important for me to possess strong academic background in order to diversify my future options and
have a competitive advantage amongst my peers for which Canada is simply the best country to pursue my goals.

WHY GLOBAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT?

A Global business Management will open the doors of many opportunities to progress my career. Many establishments
in India have started expanding their service to the world economy and world markets. And the country’s demand for
internationally trained candidates has been rising for quite a few years. This qualification will empower me to seize such
opportunities with confidence. I hope for a positive reply from your esteemed institution.
As the modern business world adapted to the pattern of globalization, the vastness of knowledge required to perform
well as a professional has broadened extensively. The backbone of the contemporary business is maintained upright by
resourceful administration that can oversee procedures and execute them with a strategic goal. After having gained
sufficient work experience as a business professional, I wish to amp up my skills through higher education. My search
for a course that provides theoretical and practical learning possibilities has brought me to the Global Business
Management from your reputed College.

WHY GEORGIAN COLLEGE?

I researched many Colleges in Canada and opted for Georgian College, Ontario, Canada. Georgian College is Public
Funded institute. I have searched and found fees structure is too high of some institutions Fee per year Post Graduate
which is quite high. The fee at Georgian College comparatively for my chosen course is very reasonable and lesser.
Also the good placement profile too. The staff is experienced and cooperative .The course contents are according to the
latest Industry requirement, Complete assistance is given to the students so that they can complete the course without
any hurdle. The student satisfaction rate of Georgian College is also good and is known for providing smaller class sizes
where I will have a better chance to interact face to face with the teachers. Georgian understands that students might
need additional help with their academic studies, so they assign mentors to each of their students. These mentors are
the senior students with specialized knowledge who have excelled academically, are employed to assist students,
whether individually or in small study groups. This facility has made me choose Georgian College over other
universities.

MY LIVING ARRANGEMENTS:

My designated future study program i.e. Global Business Management is going to commence at Georgian College in
Barrie, Ontario. Then I will look for a safe, suitable and convenient rented room somewhere near my study campus and
would like to convert the same into shared with a suitable students from my same course. While doing this study
program as I allowed to work 20 hours per week according to student visa condition so I would like to work along with
my studies to gain some practical skills as well as bear my own expenses on daily routine basis in Canada.

FUTURE OUTCOMES:

A lot of commercial banks like Punjab National Bank (www.pnbindia.in), Oriental Bank of Commerce
(https://www.obcindia.co.in/), ICICI Bank (https://www.icicibank.com/) also have opportunities for graduates in marketing
as all banks require expert persons especially for the accounts and finance department. These banks also offer good
salary packages with many benefits. The salary is attractive and enough to continue and maintain my living in my home
country. I am looking forward to explore my career in these organizations with a Canadian Credential. As I will have the
experience of international exposure I would not have to be bound to these expectations. In future I wish to start a
company of my own after gaining experience into this field.

In addition to this, my father has an ancestral land and residential House in his name worth INR 1.8 Crores. I have one
younger brother who is currently a student .In India, being a Son of the family is having more responsibilities towards
their families and they also are the mentors for their siblings. Same is the case with me. I need to act as a mentor to my
sister; to support and encourage him to achieve her future goals and aspirations. Having such a supportive family
wherein they would be spending lakhs of their hard earned that too in their old age, money and care for their heath binds
me more towards family.

So it's my moral duty to come back to India after completed my degree and getting some international exposure and to
look after my parents as well as my professional life .A family life and a successful career is all what an individual needs
and India is the country that would suffice both my visions without compromising any between the two. These reasons
altogether are enough for me to return to my home country. I have to look after his assets worth in crores. It is also my
responsibility to take charge of family expenses and make them rest in their old age; thereby reducing burden from their
shoulders.
REASONS TO RETURN BACK TO HOME COUNTRY:

Today, so many multinational companies are setting their offices and branches in India due to globalization of Indian
Economy. After completion of this course, I have to come back my country because my whole family and friends are
settled in India as well as there will be so many good opportunities will open for me. I want to take care of my parents
and help them in their old age. After successful completion of the course I’ll be very excited to come back to my
hometown. I am very close to my family. Apart from personal life, professionally I’ll have knowledge of advanced
Commercial Managerial skills which will help me to grow in my career and accomplish future goals with economic
benefits in my hometown. Having an international qualification, I will also have an advantage over other local graduates.
So, once I complete my studies I will return to my country. As I am going on a student visa my pure intention is to go for
higher studies only.

To know more about these visa conditions I have gathered a lot of reasonable information so that I may comply with
these during my study period in Georgian College, Ontario. Being a law abiding citizen of India, I have respect and faith
in the judicial system. I assure to adhere to all visa conditions and try my best not to breach any of these visa conditions.

I would be grateful if I could join this course in Canada. I want to achieve my aim with hard work and dedication. Also, I
want to establish myself in my profession and prove myself. So in last I would like to request the His Excellency to make
my dream come true. Please process my application further so that I can have a brighter future
