has fans all over the world. You don’t usually see free
runners on tracks. You see them in the street or in parks.
They climb walls, jump from building to building and do a
lot of other amazing movements. It is important to move

Free running is a difficult sport, but it’s very popular with
teenagers. Free runner Robbie Dowling, 17, says, “Free running
is different from sports like track, football or judo. When I
go free running, I don’t want to win or lose; I just want to
have fun. Sure, there are competitions, but they aren’t
important to me or my friends. We don’t take part in them.”
For other young people, free running competitions are
important, and you can watch some amazing videos on
YouTube. You can also watch Sébastien Foucan, the man who
started the sport, free running in the James Bond movie
Casino Royale. Sébastien says that free runners practice all
the time. He also says there is no good or bad in free
running, but it is important to learn from your experiences.
