Study Plan-1
Academic background.
I am Kingsley Menkiti. I will complete my BSc in Chinese Studies in August 2019. I have 3 and half
years of experience learning Chinese Studies. In this long period of studying, I have learnt different
things about Chinese history, food, culture, language and so on which has set a solid foundation for
me, which will enable me to do any work in any area of Chinese.
Due to my keen interest and enthusiasm with things related to Chinese culture and how fascinating
their progress is, I attended 2018 youth summer camp, which we spent most of our time in Xiamen
University and not up to two weeks later we travelled to Beijing.
P.S . I uploaded the certificate and evidence that I attended 2018 Youth Summer Camp in China in the
other supporting documents section.
The experience I got from traveling to China, studying and doing research gave me a stronger reason
to pursue my Masters and make a career in a International Trade.
I was an active and broad-minded student among others during my undergraduate and graduate
studies very often involved in many curriculum and co-curricular activities if observed I remember
My personality
As a person, I am an active, high-energetic, peaceful , responsible with friendly nature and a good
communicator indeed who is blessed with many friends. I keep a clean view to the reality of life, thus
approach people with positive mind and attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts
and true dedication.
Besides that, I always feel very jealous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different
backgrounds and cultures as such meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial
in future, and also, it makes things easy to cope whether one works or studies in his own country or
outside the country.
1pm: Lunch, call my Senior for questions concerning what I have read in the morning.
2pm: Do assignments
11pm: Go to bed.
I applied for International Trade to be taught in Chinese language and I have always had business
acumen but it is underdeveloped because of lack of means of development.
Studying in China will give me the actual Chinese language experience. It will help increase my
communication skills in Chinese as I will be having different interactions daily in Chinese.
My first few weeks in China, I will experience culture shock. Now this culture shock will force me
outside my comfort zone and make me feel a stronger need to conform to the situation. Being able to
pass through this difficult stage in China will help develop my project management skill in business
and every other walk of life. How? Through this process I will be equipped to handle high intensity,
demanding job roles, regardless of the field.
Studying outside my home country will make me to become more independent and refined in my
decision making skills. If I'm traveling alone I will gain self-sufficiency and learn how to think on my
feet. This social intelligence can be transferred to a career in many industries and strengthen my
capabilities to be a reliable, productive, new employee or businessman.
I am really impressed by the way China has proved themselves to be dedicated to their work and with
true efforts they have set China as a successful example for other third world or developed countries.
The fast growing economy, technological advancement and the global ranking education institutions
of China with high reputation makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better
career perspectives. Such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly
satisfied with the decision I have taken. I hope that you you acknowledge my interests and you give
me chance to study in equality institution.
Conclusion.
China take education - particularly higher education - very seriously. Academics in China are very
competitive, students treat their teachers with respect and extremely serious about their studies. China
has a number of prestigious universities and many of them are listed in the world top ranked
universities, which are located in different provinces of China. Attending one of the universities is
seen as a prerequisite for success in China society.
