Session 7: Classroom Management
3. Be Productive: Students will show interest and willingness to do the tasks all the
time. They have to meet the demands and challenges of the different instructions
provided by the teacher to have a self-reflection and assessment on what learning needs
they have to enhance and develop. The more productive they are, the bigger the number
of positive desired outcomes or goals they want to achieve during the teaching and
learning process. Student’s productivity will make them more efficient to give their
potential and best in learning the subject material and doing the activities with clear
intentions and goals.
4. Be Polite: Learners should pay respect to their teacher and classmates in the
classroom to build camaraderie from each other’s being. The students will be mindful
and respectful to elicit questions from the teacher to avoid misunderstanding and
trouble. They will use appropriate words in communicating their teacher and
classmates to produce a safe and friendly environment.
6. Be Patience: Learners should understand the saying, “Patience is not simply the
ability to wait-it’s how we behave while we are waiting”. In the context of learning,
students should listen, stay seated, and calm while listening to the teacher’s discussion
without throwing any complains and showing any signs of misbehaviors. It is better to
wait than causing any problems which affect the learning atmosphere.

Session 5: Special Education
Learners with disabilities require a special attention from the teacher. They need
someone who’s compassionate and determined enough to understand their situation
and show willingness to teach them and believe their capabilities as person. All they
want is to experience quality education like the normal children have. So, a teacher
should provide everything to the learners such as the needed learning materials, moral
support, appreciation, and guidance to inspire them to continue learning amidst their
uniqueness and able to fulfill their aspirations in life. Besides, learners with giftedness
and talents are unique individuals that also need teacher’s assistance to strengthen their
learning and understanding into advanced level. They have the potentials to develop
significantly beyond what is expected for their age. These learners will learn best when
they involve in any learning activities and lessons that correspond to their intellectual
aspects. These children with special needs have their purposes and roles in normalizing
education for everyone.
This special education has become the medium of instruction where learning
took place between the learners with special needs and SPED educators. As the world is
changing, many opportunities arise to help the learners become highly competitive and
well-learned despite their special abilities and disabilities. Their situations did not
hinder their rights to education instead an inspiration for them to study more and be a
literate learner.

Session 1: Early Language Literacy and Numeracy
Based on the readings, I have learned that literacy and numeracy skills
are the basic foundations of learning language in different subject areas. There are
varied teaching strategies employed by teachers to promote language literacy and
numeracy among students. The teachers must inculcate suitable learning strategies that
would cater the needs and development of the learners in this 21 st century teaching
skills. With that, the teacher should be the sole foundation of bringing the students into
success and envisioning themselves a highly competitive individual. Attaining the fullest
level of literacy and numeracy skills engage the students to be more productive in the
society and able to surpass the challenges, needs, and demands that the DepEd and
other educational administrations are trying to acquire from them.
I have realized that learners should undergo proper nurturing at their early
age with differentiated instructions that would help them learn the basic concepts of
literacy and numeracy. Students are better on their own aspects, and they need the
additional support and guidance from their teachers to fully enhance their growth and
development as individuals.

Session 3: The K-12 Curriculum Inclusive Education
1. What were your thoughts or ideas about inclusive education prior to the discussion of
this lesson?
Inclusive education is an “Education for All” principle that incorporates the
philosophy of accepting all learners regardless of their linguistic, cultural, socio-
economic, and religious background. This program prioritizes the growth and
development of learners in different aspects in life. The inclusiveness of education
pushes the educators to enhance the process skills and pedagogical knowledge of
learners in desired learning targets. This provides a lot of opportunities for them to
learn and strengthen their strengths and weaknesses to become better students. Today,
it’s impossible for the learners to be left behind and outdated since the Department of
Education offers a lot of specialized programs to cater the individual differences of the
learners and creates simple and innovative ideas which enhance their learning skills and
abilities.
2. What new ideas did you learn after taking up this lesson?
I have learned that inclusiveness leads to equality and unity among diverse
learners since education is for everybody. The learners have the rights to learn and
expand their knowledge in various things whether they are manifestation of theories,
philosophies, and real-life experiences. The teachers should adopt teaching approaches
and strategies that they believe would sharpen the learning styles and preferences of
students during instruction.
3. How did you apply your learning about Inclusive Education in your own classroom?

Session 6: Diversity of Learners-ALS
Informal Education for Disadvantaged Children and Adults: This
program ignites me to go beyond my limits in teaching because it addresses the special
needs and interest of the street and working children/adults in the society. These people
really need attention and support from the government and educational administrations
to attain their aspirations in life. Though they have lesser opportunities to quality
learning, the teacher should be determined and compassionate to help the learners arise
from the unexpected adversities. Those disadvantaged children and adults have the
rights to involve in using life skills, active learning approaches/ strategies designed at
improving social, cultural, recreational physical, and personal development. In that
way, the teacher could help the learners realize their self-worth as individuals that even
though their life is way too far different from the others, still hopes are waiving at them.
It doesn’t mean that they are disadvantaged children and adults, they are not capable of
learning but motivating and empowering them to be their best inspire them to grow and
attain the fullest level of success in the future.
As the teacher, I would open my wings wholeheartedly for my learners to let
them feel secure and safe despite all the judgments and critics from the society. It is my
responsibility to uplift and bring them close together in the ladder of success.
