1. The Eastern united states rises from the costal: The Appalachian
Mountains (6,684 ft)
2. The Appalachian includes mountain ranges and river valleys
from Maine to Alabama
3. At the Foot of the Appalachian , between the mountains coastal
plains, is the piedmont (is a region of plains begins in New
Jersey and extends far south).
4. The Eastern united states is close to the sea level and it rises
gradually inland.
5. The coastal Plain stretches from New York to Mexico along the
Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
INTERIOR PLAINS
1. Vast Plains make up most of the united west of the Appalachians.
This region is called the Interior Plains
2. The Interior Plains stretch westward to the rocky mountains.
