Around 1450 AD, Sayyid Abu Bakr arrived in Sulu from Johore and established the Sultanate of Sulu, becoming its first sultan.

    Islam was instituted in the

    Around 1380 AD, the

    Arabia arrived to Mindanao
    for the first time. The group
    then traveled to Jolo, where

    Tapul, Tawi-Tawi, Simunul,
    1390 AD and Sibutu. Sharif Awliya or
    Around 1390 AD, Raja Karim ul Makhdum (Zein ul-
    Baguinda arrived in Abidin) was the most

    offspring.
