ends and can be given by the manufactuerer.

2. Replacement of diaphragm
2.1 Saftey instructions
Prior to removal of the complete valve from the pipeline or prior to any
repair or maintenance work on the valve itself, ensure the the pressure
has been released from the valve ant that the valve has been allowed to
cool down below the evaporating temperature of the medium so as to
avoid injury by scalding. Furthermore, in cases of poisonous or corrosive
media, ensure that the valve is drained and ventilated. If in doubt or
requiring clarification, contact the manufacturer’s works.

2.2 Replacement of diaphragm

The diaphragm for the valves SISTO-C from DN 06-20 are fixed on the
compressor with a rubber button. The upper or equal diameters to
DN 25 are fixed with a thread. Set the valve to the open position. Loosen
hexagonal bolts and remove the bonnet assembly. Remove (DN 06-20)
or unscrew (DN 20-100) the diaphragm in a counterclockwise direction
from the compressor. If the diaphragm was in contact with acids or other
dangerous fluids pleas wear gloves.

Verify the new diaphragm to his size, type and material coding.

For reassembly, put the bonnet into the cloded position, remove the rubber
protction from the thread of the new diaphragm, verify if the tread is in a
good condition with any residue of rubber and follow the sequence in
reserve. 165 443
Srew the new diaphragm in the compressor until the end, bot not to hard.
Every hard screw effort could damage the diaphragm. The diaphragm
must be contact with the compressor (see drawing).

While replacing the diaphragm DN 06-20, humidify the rubber botton
with water and push the diaphragm in the fixing hole of the compressor
with mouvement of torsion until the diaphragm is in place. Turn the
diaphragm in reverse direction until the fixation holes are all on the same
place as of the bonnet. Set the bonnet in open position and assemble the
bonnet to the body.

The marking label of diaphragm must be the lenghtening of the

seat. Tighten the hexagonal bolts by hand and after that with a key
diagonally across until the bonnet is imposed with the assembly diaphragm
- body. The rubber deformation can be seen between bonnet and body, it
may not be longer than 0,5 mm.
